Got to thinking about what your dealer said about the MIL light not flashing. I don't recall seeing that in the ECU manual. That light is on or off,no flashing. Is that dealer blowing sunshine up your 6 ?? I will double check when I get a chance. As for your battery issue. If you charging system is not working shouldn't your BATT light be on?? I would check with a volt meter. If your below 13v or so and that batt warning light is not on I would check the dash especially when you said the fuel gauge was not working. :thumbsup:

Fixed my battery issue. The nut holding the big wire on the alternator wasn't that tight plus it had paint overspray on the underside of it. I took the nut loose, scrapped the paint off, re-tightened and now I'm getting my full 14 volts or so to the battery while running.
Battery light was never on. Comes on and goes right off when I start the tractor.
I'm no mechanic, but I stayed at a Motel 6 last night and those pics don't look good. But hey it's just my opinion. Wonder why there is that much unburned fuel there. Can't be good for the exhaust system. Hopefully they figure it out.

I'm getting ready to take my 2555 in to the dealer for its 50 hour service, has anything been decided on the new software? If it is available I'd like to point it out the the service tech.

tell him to contact regional service rep for Mahindra , Mahindra should fill him in being that he may not be aware of the issue yet.

I'm no expert. This is a learning curve for me too since I have a customer with a 2555 and is having EGR issues. The EGR cooler problem is easily checked. Perform a cooling system pressure test. It should hold rock steady for hours. As far as I know that issue has been resolved by the manufacturer. The EGR valve wet with fuel/sooting up is another unresolved issue. The one I pulled out looked wet too me also but closer examination revealed it was just shiny black deposits best described as gloss black paint. The Beta software is still a question. The unit I have just came back with another 20 hours on it after I replaced the EGR valve with the same complaint. MIL light on. Of course when I got It at the shop the light was out. That tells me that the tractor is idling too long.:confused2:
