I was wondering what other have done to secure their tractors to a trailer for transport, the 2555 doesn't have a very good place to attach chains to.

How far are you going? If were just running a few miles down the road we run a clevis through the rear hitch and a chain through it to the corners of the trailer and another through the FEL and cinch it down with a chain binder or come along.

When I take it to the fields its not a big deal, but when I run to the dealers its a 65 mile trip on I-95. there is a DOT weigh station on the way and I've been lucky so far and they have been closed. I know DOT doesn't like chains going through the FEL, they want them on the frame. A friend of mine has a New Holland and he had a large chain loop welded to the front of the frame. but the 2555 doesn't have s good place to weld to for the same type application.

Are those bolted to the brackets for the brush guard?

Yes, I just drilled out a hole and added a grade 8 bolt. You could probably weld some on too.

Do you cross your chain when you tie it down?
I do the same thing on the drag link as you, I have a 1/2 twist clevis.
