If you find you are carrying too much dirt to your burn pile, remove every other tooth. That always works for me.

As simple as it is, I never thought of doing that. I'll try your suggestion next time. I'm always having the problem of dragging dirt and ashes to the center of the burn pile.

Jeff, thanks for the pics on ratchet rake, might be the best choice although and like you, having both would be better!
