3020 Series Cab - any regrets?

I really don't understand why they haven't made a backhoe for it yet. All they would need to do is put a backhoe on that has longer platform to clear the operators seat from the window. Seems to me they could make an extension bracket to give it another 10" of length for the operators platform. Sure it would make the machine longer, and less able to climb piles with the backhoe attachment on.

My father in law has a woods backhoe on his kubota grand cab. Sure overall length of machine is a little longer because of the cab clearance issue, but he can dig holes all he wants.

So yeah, logically with adaptors for the frame it should be able to be done. But no manufacturer has got around to doin' this yet.

Does anyone have any experience with using an iMatch through a Cab window? It seems like you could still access the iMatch handles without much of a problem. Is this the case?
JasonMac, do you use an iMatch? Does anyone out there use an iMatch with their cab model?

I have had mine since Feb. and have about 200 hours on it. I like it very much and find the comfort of the cab to be unbeatable in heat or cold. I don't think I would go back to open station. For longer duration tasks such as mowing or snow removal, it is really nice.

however.......

when working on tasks that require frequent dismounting, I do find the cab annoying. Also, when working with someone else, such as with the loader, I find it annoying having to leave the door flopping open and leaning out to yell around the windshield. Finally, if you leave it out in the sun when it isn't running (i use the loader for everything imaginable, it is more help than another person), it will heat up in there REAL quick.

With all of this said, I love the cab. But, it ain't perfect.

to each his own....

I have a 3720 Cab with iMatch. The rear window opens up and wide enough that I can reach the iMatch levers without having to get out of the cab. It's also good for leaning out and looking straight down in back if necessary.

Here's some more about why I like my cab.

Ah, tree branches. I have a 110 acres of woods that I maintain many trails through. Previously I had a non-cab tractor and I was always getting whipped by branches doing this job. It's really not practical to keep this many branches trimmed just so. Before I got the 3720, I was worried about having to do more branch trimming to protect the cab.

But it's just the opposite. The cab is so well designed that most branches will bend and sweep by without getting caught on anything. Of course, larger limbs require trimming. But I amazed at how much better this rig works for me for keeping trails mowed. I can mow much closer to trees than ever before. Because my property has quite a few locust trees whose branches sport 6 inch thorns, it was life threatening to try to mow past these before. Now they can't get me. This one feature is worth the cab cost for me.

I'm protected from noise, bugs, dust, pollen, rain, snow, heat, and cold. I can hear my cell phone ring and actually talk on it. And it's a clean working environment.

Do I miss the fresh-air, outdoor experience of the non-cab tractor? Hardly. If I want to enjoy the outdoors, I prefer to walk the trails in peace carrying binoculars and not having to listen to the noise of a diesel tractor.

Of course this is colored by my location in SE Iowa and it's weather. Notice I didn't say climate. As far as I can tell, what happens outside in Iowa is too unpredictable to be called climate.
