I'm trying to figure out if a B3030 cab will fit under my 7 ft garage door. They don't seem to list the height in the specs on the Kubota websites. Does anybody know the exact height? Thanks

Thanks. I guess I'll have to look into a aftermarket cab and see if they are a bit lower. I thought about getting a 8 ft garage door but it would be too expensive.

Razor, Its going to be close...... whether it makes it inside or not will depend on several variables. The R4s are smaller than the turfs, so if you are planning on buying it with the R4s you are already ahead of the game. I know there are members here who have fit their 3030 cabs inside of 7' doors without modification, as this conversation has come up many times in the past. I have turfs, and i had to modify the wood trim at the top of my overhead door. Basically, it was removing the trim and replacing it with much thinner trim. I did this myself, and used my planer to reduce the thickness of the new trim to make it even thinner. Also, i do not have an automatic door opener. My door must be completely on the horizontal part of the rails. It wants to settle with the bottom of the door started slightly down the curve in the rails. When i open the door, i use a simple squeeze clap to make sure the door stays all the way up. I would assume that if you have a door opener, it could be set to open the door all the way till its completely horizontal (if it doesn't already). Also.... because the tallest points are the directionals and radio antenna, i loosened them and turned them down some. You wouldn't want to let any ice build up at your door in the winter. There was nothing terribly difficult about getting mine inside, but it didn't just drive inside right off the bat. To double check, i just put a level across the ridges in the center of my roof and measured to the floor and it was right about 7 feet, with perhaps a fraction of an inch to spare.

Here is a pic of amigauser's 3030 when it was new. I do believe his, with R4s, fit under his 7' opening without modification.

Correlated question. Is the height of a 3030 higher than a BXX20 series?
In other words, are the B2320,2620,2920 the same height, at the ROPS, or shorter, if you know? Thanks

I was going to pass on a reply to this but I just can't help but offer how I resolved my issue with the ROPS being just a couple of inches to high. You guys are like family and I just want to help.:) It was a very inexpensive fix and only took a couple or seconds or less to do. I'm not recommending my "fix" I'm just presenting it for your consideration. Attached picture zoomed should show the details of my "fix".

Unlike some of the pictures that are posted repeatedly, this one never gets old. Thanks :D

I'd speculate that the 3030 cab is shorter than the BXX20 series ROPS, since i'd assume the ROPS has to be folded to get in a 7' door opening.

Wish I'd seen this thread before I closed up the barn this evening. If there isn't an answer by the time I get home from work Sunday afternoon I'll go out and get a measurement on my B3030 HSDCC with R4's.
I have no problem getting under my 8'x18' door, although I don't really know how much there is to spare.

Correct ;)

I also had to keep the garage door on the level part of the tracks as it wanted to rest on the curved portion. I did the radio antenna and blinker adjustment to. It will clear but it is going to be close. I don't think turf tires will clear as they are at least an inch taller.

Mine with loaded turf tires & ROP is 91-1/4 inches

Just measured my 3030 with cab and turf tires, 83 1/4 inches to the top.

Not sure if dealer can spec lower profile tires, but may be pricey.

One dealer suggested lowering tire pressure to gain an inch or so. Even with large upright compressor, this seemed like too much work every time I entered or left the garage. Now if I could have an onboard tire pressure adjusting mechanism, that would be great :)

Just checked my 3030 also. R4 tires, level concrete floor - 83 1/2". This was with 60 inch blower and FEL all flat on concrete also. No load at all on the hydraulics.

I thought my B3030 HSDC would fit in my 7' garage opening, just barely after measuring it. It is tough to gauge the exact height of the tractor with the curved roof line. I have R4 tires. So I slowly tried to move it into the garage with my wife watching the clearance but it didn't quite make it, by less than an inch.

Fortunately I also had a 10' door so it wasn't a problem.

Ran into the same problem when I bought mine at the eand of the year.
With 12.4-16 rears they are 83 inches at the highest point using a level
to be certain as the cab's not flat on top.I can vouch for that as I only
had 81.5 clearance after being told the tractor was 78 inches.Needless to
say it's in the garage after I took of the weather seal and 3/4 trim board
off the top of my opening. After the weather changes in the spring Ill strip the
siding above and raise the opening height at least 3 more inches and put it all back together.I will have to bend a piece of metal to cover the strip at the top of the door to cover what's showing so the seal covers it completely.
