3203 Update

I recently purchased a John Deere 3203 with a 300 loader and GM1072R Frontier finish mower. I opted for this over the 3220 basicly because of price. I have been very pleased with the performance of this tractor and it is a very solid no frills machine. Paid $18000.00 for complete setup and it fits my needs perfectly. However I would recommend the 3120 or 3320 if you plan on using the machine for much more than mowing and light loader work.

I was at my local JD house over the weekend looking at new tractors. It seems there were a number of 3203s on the lot and they really were interested selling those as opposed to the 3120. I am shopping for my first tractor and I need something fairly basic. This tractor seems to fit my needs. I am wondering how this tractor has worked for the folks that already purchased one. Any feedback is appreciated. Also, the quote for the tractor with the 300 FEL is $17,000. Is that in line?

I'm also looking at various options for a tractor with FEL etc. It appears the 3203 is only available with 300 FEL with lift capacity at pivot of only 740 Lbs. compared to 300CX listed at 1598 Lbs. Given size of tractor the loader seems to be the weak point as well as apparent lack of 3203 specific implements and attachements.
