3320 FEL Bucket Question

   / 3320 FEL Bucket Question #11
So a drifting bucket on a brand new 3320 is something I should just live with? I really hate the bucket doing this.

For instance if I get off tractor to load bricks in bucket, I have to keep walking back to joystick to tilt bucket or the brick will fall out.

The FEL on my 2006 3320 does not drift down. Not the lift, not the curl. Perhaps after hours it may drift some, but I never notice it. Engine off or on matters not. I have stood in the bucket for hours lifted at high as it could go to install new windows in the house (OK I know I should not do this), with out any tilt at all. About the only time this bothered me is when the dog decided he too wanted to get in the bucket. He jumped up into the operators station and I knew for certain he was gonna hit the control lever and dump me and my son out. He didn't ...

Well you could set it on the ground.

i think your misunderstood buddy. Even if you set it on the ground, it will still tilt forward and the guys bricks will dump out. I know this from experience with a jobsite loader that has same issue.

Deere has a published acceptable leakdown rate. You can look at it on the "other forum".
For your setup it looks to be 2 or 3 inches per hour.
My 400cx on my 4720 leaks down a few inches overnight, MAYBE.
If you are talking inches in minutes, VS inches in hours, you have a problem. Maybe a bad spool valve.
The dealer will fix it.

So, what would make the bucket slowly tilt to the dump position. This is a brand new 3320 with no leaks in hydraulics.

Your bucket should not drop that fast. For a new tractor, I'd be at the Deere dealership for warranty repair.

I agree about warranty work if is new. However; I have a 2006 3320 and drifts fast. I tilt it back automately as others noted.

JD Dealer service came out and packed it on the trailer. Said its not acceptable for it to leak off like this. He tested it by lifting front tires off the ground with fel. Since it leaks off in both directions They ordered new spool. Hope this is the fix.

something to think about. The warranty on the fel is only one year as the tractor is 3 years. jack
