Rob, is that fiberglass insulation? Is that a pre-designed, pre-engineered,
pre-cut steel building?

I gather from the recent Jinma purchase that you still believe that Chinese
tractors are the way to go.

Sorry to hear about your Blazer. Even more sorry to hear about that tow company. You really should file a complaint against them. One complaint will never make a difference, but they might already have a few on file and eventually, there will be enough to make a difference.

The house looks great!!! I can't imagine what it must be like to write those checks. Then you have to buy a new truck!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW.

Did I tell you after leaving the towing company, we went into Visalia to buy a new truck? After getting the new truck and trailer home from Visalia, we picked up a bunch of appliances we had on order. Then decided to trailer the load up to the property.
Man, is that new truck ever nice!

Loretta and I trailered this load up last weekend with the new truck. We had to tarp everything since it was during that rainstorm down here and unload in the rain. One of the dolly wheels popped off right away.
LOL ... so I had to put one corner of every box on my hard toe boot to get them off as I slid them down the ramp and dragged them into the garage inch by inch.



We still need to get the dishwasher and 2 jaccuzzi style bathtubs which are on back order. There are also more faucets, door handles, and like 10 fans etc to get and trailer up there. The contractor is moving them from the garage into his storage container at the home site to keep all that stuff safe until they install it all.

What model truck did you end up buying? I had similar issues with dollies, one time was a wheel fell off. Another was I forgot to check the tires to see if there was enough air in them till I was at the job and guess what

At least you got them up there and put inside.

I don't know what that insulation is made of, but I suppose you are right. All I know it's only R-12? rating. But better than nothing.
And yes, the building is pre-designed and pre-cut. We are waiting for a couple things that were not shipped with the original package. It sure will be great to have some decent room for my machine shop and storage for the tractors.

Loretta wanted a tractor for her gardening and also a tiller, landscape rake and a chipper/shredder. She is getting the Jinma 284 with loader. I ran into a friend who purchases directly from China through his company and he offered to let me get these items plus a PTO driven log splitter, a Diesel generator/Welder and a 2200lb hydraulic dump trailer plus all of the above for less than what I could get the 284 Jinma alone!!

I could not pass up the deal, plus you know I'm pretty handy so it doesn't scare me one bit. The other thing is my Kama has given nearly 500 hrs of trouble free incredible service under extreme conditions. Until I blew out the front drive just recently abusing the heck out of it with a 3000lb load in the bucket. It was my own fault. BTW, my friend got the entire drive gears, bearings etc ... everything I need for $250 bucks. So I will repair it when the container arrives with the rest of the stuff. Loretta is building her own bucket grapples for her tractor too.

Yeah, I've filed a complaint already and I hope they take that tow company off the CHP list. They are a bunch of crooks as far as I', concerned.

I'm glad you are liking how the house is coming along. I know what you mean about writing those checks too. It's not like I'm made out of money you know. But it's a good thing we saved all those years! When I was younger there was always to much month left at the end of the money.

After all that we started looking at new trucks in Visalia. We started to drive home but turned around, deciding it might be better to get a truck up there instead of spending 4 hours driving home and then 4 hours driving back up and then 4 hours driving back home again. Plus (for some reason) we were worried about that darn tow company. We looked at the Ford and Chevy but could not find a local Dodge dealer. We ended up getting this truck.





It's a 2008 Chevy 2500 Silverado LT package. 4 wheel drive, 6.6 liter Duromax turbo diesel with the famous Allison 6 speed tranny. It has all kinds of gizmos it it. It has tons of power and is super comfortable.
Back up sensors, towing package built in with jake brake automatic down shifting trans. Automatic dimming rear view mirror
Locking rear differential, Separate driver & passenger air/ heating controls, towing rear view mirrors. Adjustable foot pedals, power seats. On star and satellite radio, heck the truck even has it's own cell phone number!
Remote starting and warm up for engine and interior...all kinds of stuff. More than I wanted on a truck but that's how most of the 2500's were equipped. I checked out the new Ford too. The Chevy came better equipped and a couple thousand cheaper than Ford.
We got 15mpg (14.9) pulling a trailer over the Grapevine!!! Wow!
So I'm OK with that now.

I am sure you got a sweet deal...I have seen some incredible prices on
Chinese tractors. I would certainly consider a small Chinese 4n1 bkt, if
I can find an importer.

I won't be the only one watching for your Kama front end post-mortem
analysis and repair pix. I am sure that is on the 'A' list of to-dos.

I am glad you are liking your new truck. The bed of the truck should find some use right away with all your hauling. I love my trucks but wish I still had my Grand Cherokee for hauling my daughter around and going into town or the city.

That is a nice looking truck though

That truck is sweet In 06 the chevy dealers woulden't even deal when I was looking for one and ended up with a dodge ram 2500 ctd mega cab.

With all those diesels you might as well put another 5000 gallon tank next to your water tank for fuel!

One thing I heard about the new diesel trucks was to watch parking them in any high grass because of the particulate filter burn out sequence, you don't want to lose another truck I'm sure!

Wow! that's a nice truck you got there. Glad you didn't buy the Ford. My F350 diesel got nothing but problems with the 6.0 engine. Is your friend a tractor dealer? I would love to get myself a little Jinma too.
