The rest was pretty easy getting the lathe into the barn and setting it down. All I had to do was make sure NOT to rip off the barn door, the sides or the roof with that monster GradeAll.:D
The rest of the machinery will be duck soup to move except maybe the fork truck itself.

Chris, thanks for the heads up on that.
I was thinking of using 3/4" plywood not only on the trailer bed itself, but also on the ramp while loading and unloading it. I'm lucky that I have a spot where the ramp will not be too much of an incline when loading. But like I said, I have the winch if I need to help get the fork truck all the way on. I'll also block the rear frame of the trailer like I did when I drove the Kama onto it.

Hey, you got Boer Goats too ... shees! lol ... What's with that?

They are small, easy to handle and there is a pretty good market for them here on the east coast. We didn't have enough acreage for cows and my wife didn't want a 2000# bull walking around anyway.

We went up last weekend to bring up another milling machine and more lights for the home. They almost have the breezeway complete now, waiting only for more hand rail spindles and the metal roof.
They want to call for final inspection on the 11th of June.

Here are some utilities going into the home and also the air condition pad behind the garage. The guy came on Sunday to install it and got it hooked up and running. But I didn't take any photos of it. It is a new energy efficient 5 ton unit that runs with very low amp draw. Looks like our solar power will handle it all. I'll get pictures in 2 weeks.

Here are a few more lighting photos of the foyer and hallway. They are the same wildlife theme as the rest of the lights.
Notice we have power now.

They also started on the wood stair case leading down to the basement. These will be sanded, stained and sealed.

They have most of the fans up too (13 total). Every room in the home has a fan and we have several out on the deck. The outdoor ones are weather resistant and they all have remotes for controlling them. With the power connected, we tried them all out. Our area gets quite hot during the Summer so the fans will surely help with keeping us cool. Although we have air conditioning and free electricity, we want to keep the solar power draw down to a minimum by using mostly the fans.

Rob,
Wow it jsut keep looking better and better. Did I see right in the pics of the fans and lighting that the tops of the logs that have the screws in them for adjusting, they boxed in the tops of the logs with wood? I asked a long time ago how they were going to hide that. Also for Loretta I would suggest a great gift idea for her would be to get her a regular shopping cart to use on the ramp between the house and the garage. At our condo in Wisconsin that is what the building has in thier underground parking garage, shopping carts and it really works out well. You unload from the car into the shopping cart and up the elevator to your unit. I think the same setup would be ideal for you lovely lovely new home. Hey you might get those craftsmen to build a rustic shopping cart, that would be so cool and always match the house, even when rolled into the kitchen or left out on the porch. Yeah I know we all lvoe to spend your money, but really a rustic shopping cart, wouldn't it be so cool?

Hi Rox,
Thanks for the comments and compliments. I'm so glad we are not the only ones who like the home and the style.
Yes, they boxed all those areas up so they would look better. They can still get to them by taking off the box if adjustment due to settling occurs.
I will surely run that idea about the shopping cart by Loretta. As a matter of fact, she was wondering how to get her groceries up that ramp ... lol ... actually I was, since I'll be doing it more than likely. So that is a great suggestion and works for me. We were thinking about getting our firewood up that ramp in a similar fashion. So two birds with one stone.:)
Thank you.

Rob, maybe I missed it somewhere...but can you post a few photos of the views out of the windows? You get a glimpse of it in one of those fan photos, but I want more! ;)
