Here's what i did. My place of employment replace all the fixtures in the building and were throwing away the old 8ft fixtures. I was given some of them and fitted them with Leviton Plastic Keyless Lamp Holder-R5-8829-CW4 - The Home Depot and, EcoSmart 1W Equivalent Soft White A19 Basic Non-Dimmable LED Light Bulb (4-Pack)-A6A19A1WUL1 - The Home Depot

There are getting to be a lot of strip light LED fixtures. I'm liking (Pack of 6) Barrina LED T5 Integrated Single Fixture, 4FT, 2200lm, 6500K (Super Bright White), 20W, Utility Shop Light, Ceiling and Under Cabinet Light, Corded electric with built-in ON/OFF switch for $55. Basically LED strips in a corded LINKABLE fixture.

Linkable is important to me, lets me use fewer outlets.

Well I got in the "upgrated" version of the link above (Pack of 6) LED T5 Integrated Single Fixture 4FT, 2W, 22lm, 65K (Super Bright White), Utility led Shop Light, LED Ceiling light and Under Cabinet Light, Corded electric with built-in ON/OFF switch - - Amazon.com. Work well, but they shorted me one link. And the price jumped to $60 after I bought them.
Sure are bright.

I have 8’ fixtures with 2 x 8’ T12 bulbs, that hang on chains, 16’ above my shop floor. The 8’ tubes are a PIA to change out.

I’m replacing the entire fixtures with these.

Hey, thanks for that link. That's exactly what I need to replace the 8' fixtures in my barn. And you're right - those 8' bulbs are a PITA to change.

Just got 3 of the Feit Electric 4' dual tube led fixtures that Costco has on sale for $19.99 each; took one out and plugged it in, gives off great light, compatible with the florescent but brighter. They have 5 foot cords and can be ganged together as the other end has a receptacle.
I'm going to replace one bank in the shop with these, so it will be easy to compare with the other side; I expect these to be superior.
