Assuming the document I listed is the correct one for your pump....

So decoding your POMPA (pump) NT10PV14-14 H 2 25 A R EBU

We get:
NT10PV is the series
14 is the rated displacement in cubic cm.
-14 is the Displacement in cubic cm.
H is hydraulic servocontrol
2 is SAE A fittings no boost pump
25 is supposed to be the relief valve setting
A is swashplate mounted on needle bearings
R is right rotation
EBU is E input shaft male splined shaft Z9 16/32" d.p., B is enclosed bypass standard, U is options not listed.

Ok just to clarify i do have the 425 so it could be different but I have had that pump in and out 4 times and it definetly looks like your pump as well . I am pretty good at it now. The little cap that MossRoad is pointing at is what I am talking about. On the bottom of the pump if it is like mine there are 2 of the larger hoses that go into the bottom of the pump. My has a manufactured steel blocks (2) that they attach to, one on each side of the pump. On the side of the blocks is that little cap covering one of the bypass connectors. There is one bypass connector on each side on the bottom side of the pump on these steel blocks. I am attaching a picture of each side of my pump of the connectors.

Do you serve food out of your PT? I hate you guys with clean engine compartments.

To the OP, could you get access to the machine with a trailer and winch it on, then figure out the hose/hydraulic thing for future use, after you figure out why it 'died'?

You shouldn't roll these machines without bypassing the hydraulics first. You can do serious damage to the drive pump if you pull it on its wheels with that pump not bypassed. Once you figure out which two ports to connect the bypass hose to, it's an easy operation and the machine rolls very easily... so much so that you'd better have a way to stop it if its on a hill... ;)

I had mine for about 16 years before I had to roll it around in my garage. Once I figured out the ports and got a correct hose made (the factory supplied hose was missing a fitting), I was a piece of cake. :licking:

I have a hose with just one fitting on it and i'm thinking it might be too short. I'll probably go into town and stop by the hydraulic shop and have a hose made long enough to reach.

Thanks for deciphering that part number Moss, your Italian is impressive.

I'm hoping for the best with the engine, but i used to race motorcycles and seized up more then one engine. Usually i could hear a difference in the engine sound just before it seized, but as i mentioned my hearing isn't what it used to be.

Unfortunately, I'll not be able to get back on this little project for a few days.

Yeah, I've seized my Yamaha RD400 a couple times at the drag strip. That was instantaneous. BING! stop!

And I ran the 4.3 V6 in our 1993 G20 out of oil 3 times... that was a very forgiving engine. Just let it cool off, add 5 quarts of oil, and off you go again!!! That one would slow down the more you pressed the gas.....

Terry gave me a call and described the location of an allen screw adjustment that can be backed out 1 to 1 1/2 turns, to allow the PT to be moved. On the side of the pump where the air bleed hose is attached, below and to the right of the bleeder T and just above a bolt or cap. I'll include a couple picts.

Foreground of the wide view is the cap where the bleeder hose goes on.

Two things, one may surprise some people and the other will not surprising people working with PT.

I had gone to the PT website and left a message asking about the location of this Allen screw. <- That's surprising part.

Terry called me first thing this morning and helping my out. <- That's not surprising part.

I will be pulling it on to a trailer to transport to my shop, once i get it up out of the woods. It's a ways down a gully so will take a little effort to get it up to where i can load. Fortunately i have enough cables blocks etc that i can anchor to trees.
