Working on a dead in the water 5325.
*Issue- after a pressure wash tractor will not start. I’m not necessarily convinced this caused the issue. Everything works but the N light just flashes and the power reverser malfunction indicator light is on. It thinks it’s in gear so it will not start with key.
*what I’ve done- performed the obvious... tested fuses, checked and tested relays, inspected connections and their pins and traced down harnesses for wear or damage. Further in depth I pulled the dash and checked/tested the hidden relays, checked seat switch, pulled any other plastic hiding wires or connections and checked them. Also cleaned and serviced battery which has 12.6 volts.
I contacted a local dealer which was of no suggestions or help. A wiring diagram is $350. I was told to google issue they guess.
This is my neighbors machine and it is currently a in the way lawn ornament. Him and his wife are not currently working due to work shutdowns from the virus and to add bad to worse his mother lost her battle to cancer yesterday. I am a mechanic/technician so my electrical and mechanical skills are up there. What I need is location of components that could be the potential issue, possibly some testing procedures, or a power reverser diagram. It truly shocks me how worthless Hutson John Deere was for any type of assistance.
