I'm not sure myself sometimes. :laughing:
I fabbed up this 'hook plate' for my L35 and have abused it beyond belief, and it's still holding fine.
Welded the lift arms back together and was totally disappointed with my work after they broke again.
It seems like I failed on numerous points: lack of penetration, contamination of weld, improper beveling, and that's what comes to my mind for starters.
I DO KNOW that I absolutely try to hold fast to cleaning the site of the weld thoroughly and removing ALL slag before running another bead.
Ah well, try, try again...
