In the process of changing the hydraulic filter I broke the left brake line. I have a replacement in order AR65686.

Any tricks to bleeding the lines. Is this more difficult on an open hydraulic system?

thanks again,

Joe

Bleeding brakes is similar on open & closed center hyd systems. Both types require engine to be idling so trans pump can replenish brake valve reservoir with hyd oil.

When I bleed the 2030's brakes, I use clear tubing, run to the transmission filler.
I had to replace a left brake line. It was kinked (guess a stick hit it?) I was surprised the replacement came prebent and fit very well.

Thanks for the help! The line from JD fit perfectly. I bleed it with a loose fit of the nut, 4 or 5 partial brake pumps, then tightened. It works great!

I had a little trouble with the hydraulic filter (as you can see) and kept trying to seat the rubber gasket on top of the housing bowl. I tore up 2 and lost a lot of fluid before I realized it needs to be seated on the tractor side... or at least that was what worked for me.

I did the same thing the first time I did a filter change. I thought I had the wrong packing and went and bought second one. Service Manager told me the right way to install.
I had oil EVERYWHERE!!!!
