Lost traction and slid into the road :D :D :D

Rebel,
Some of the Kubota loaders attach only were you see in the picture. Where the engine and transmission come together. About 6 or 8 bolts per side. No braces going to the rear.

I don't insure my tractors because they are in locked buildings but I wonder if Home owners would cover something like this. What percentage of the blame will be placed on the Kubota, I wonder.

My road is not very busy but I watch very close for the invincible moron that drives 80 in the snow. But then, maybe the Kubota didn't look.

My homeowners says that as long as the tractor is used for maintaince on the property it is insured, not insured off the property. Anyway, mine is insured seperatly for $120.00 a year.

Also, I'm just thinking maybe it wasn't a car, more like a snowplow?

That'll buff right out.
Dont know why but I found that too funny.

It is a tragedy, and I'm sure somehow they'll make it look like it was guy on the tractor at fault.

Around here, a guy on a Steiner mower was cited after he got tagged by a car while he was mowing a ditch and drove out onto edge of the road a bit only to get hit by a car. I hate to say it, but the tractor operator might be found at fault for being on the road. Maybe not if he had the SMV symbol and flashers and such all up to code and operating, but you can probably figure the car insurance company will try. Heck, the operator might even be on the wrong end of a lawsuit for damages to the car and driver.

I would not want to have that happen to me, no matter how badly I wanted a new tractor.

I couldent find the smv triangle on it. not that it wasnt knocked off by the impact. that would truely be nasty to get nailed for the accident due to some stupid bs like that.

That is what mine says. I wonder if they would try to wiggle out by saying the road isn't your property.

I recieved these photos from a friend who happened to come across a serious accident here in Saratoga County NY. From what I understand a car lost control on the snow covered road and wacked this Bota in the bucket really hard. The operator walked away being belted down but the driver of the car was seriously hurt. Just a reminder to wear your seatbelt when operating your tractor.

Chris

Ok the driver of the car "LOST" control and hit the tractor. Now considering the weight difference I'm guessing the drive was hurt from the impact of the FEL being jammed inside the car. I'm guessing he was going to fast for the conditions.
