Well I for one am very glad you feel that way. I have only recently begun to find an interest in hunting. This double barrel .410 for some reason had gotten me excited about small game hunting. I'm not sure I would be interested in deer hunting although if I were hungry enough I suspect I would be able to give it a good try.
We eat a lot of wild game, rabbit, quail, dove, deer, wild hog and so on. It supplements our grocery budget in a major way with five healthy eaters in the family. My husband brought home the first deer of the season Sunday and we had the backstrap fried Sunday night, and venison stew Tuesday night and will probably have more tomorrow night. By the time he gets to go back we'll probably be ready for another deer anyway. My youngest daughter got her first deer last year. A small basket rack eight point.
My oldest daughter is not interested in gun hunting but hunts hogs with her boyfriend using dogs and traps. The stories she tells of flying around the woods in the dark will raise the little hairs on the back of your neck, but she LOVES it.
