Got it at eBay, $95 total inc shipping from the seller "tractorfixins". Installed this weekend but haven't had much time in it yet. I had to lower the bars and plate that the seat mounts to by an inch, which is all I could without endangering the hyd tank cap.

It still sits higher than the stock non-suspension seat but I don't think that's going to be a problem.

Man, I need to do this. That seat looks really nice Ksimolo changed his 1850 seat out. My big issue is that either by tush is really slippery or the seat is... When I get heading downhill I slide right out (steep slopes). The only thing holding me in is the seat belt.

Not sure a new seat would change it but it would be nice to try...

The price has gone up on this seat. I got mine off Ebay also. When you sit in the seat, the seat will lower about 6 in. Mine is on my Kubota. Does your head hit the ROPS when you first get in. I think that TSC carries this seat, in different colors. I think the colors are red, black, yellow, and blue.

My preliminary measurements indicated the seat would be 9" higher before any weight was put on it, so I lowered the mount an inch, as I said.

I haven't measured the difference with me sitting in it. JJ's mention of it going down 6" might be close, meaning it'd be about 2" higher. If I were to guess, I'd have said 3" so we are pretty close here. But there is movement both ways.

IF I had a ROPS I think I'd be banging my head on it as this seat moves up.

The main reason I wanted to try this change (and I can easily put it back to 'stock') was the difficulty I had getting out of bed the morning after a day of extended PT work. My back would be pretty stiff. I finally concluded that it was ONLY after those long PT workdays that my back was stiff. Since there's little cushion and no suspension on the stock seat, this is an experiment to see if some suspension will help.

Same thing happens to me the ol back gets stiff riding around, also working in the garage standing on cement during the day does the same thing.

Yes, I believe you are right. I bought the yellow one last year.

There were those other colors available, and as much as I liked the blue I didn't think it went well with PT green. The yellow one would look pretty bad after a season of work.

I appreciate the fact that no one gave me heck for the dirty PT. When ya have a well that only produces 55 gallons a day, and your solar-powered home is cooled by evaporative coolers ("swamp coolers"), and there's been a heat wave....

.... you don't wash vehicles or tractors until summer's over.

You are all OK, despite what they say about PT owners in the Mahindra forum. ;o)
