A question on rear remotes for MT242HC

   / A question on rear remotes for MT242HC #11
I’m sure this compares to what I did in 2002 to my TC40D New Holland. I needed a 3rd function for a grapple and purchased a hydraulic diverter from Surplus Hydraulics. I rerouted the supply to the curl to the diverter and then one side of it went to the grapple. Had the button incorporated into the loader joystick so whenever I pressed and held it the grapple would open/close and when I took pressure off the button curl would work as it should
Exactly. Before you go running to Surplus Center for their diverters, be sure that the ports are spaced far enough apart to get the 1/2" couplers installed, if you want the couplers directly onto the diverters.

I’ll buy a kit made for this from a vendor who offers them for that particular purpose.

Having a hard time wrapping my head around this. The new tractor will come equipped with one factory rear remote and I will need 3 additional. So where does the kit that you recommend pick up the hydraulic supply to feed the divertor?

Can you supply a link so that I may learn more and possibly see the wiring involved?
The supply pressure comes from your existing remote which is fed into the diverter block which will need 4 outputs if you need 4 functions. Think of it as a switchable splitter that only allows one output to be active at a time.

No rocker switches to actuate, then move your control lever. Everything is done from the single control lever.

So... everything is on what appears to be an additional joystick?

I'm not familiar with Summit's offerings and would be interested to hear why you don't favor them.

I look at the switches on the Summit system and wonder if it's possible to have more than one active at a time (which would not be good, or confusing at the least), is this not possible with the Rexroth-Bosch system?

Yes, the control switches for the diverters are all on a single control grip that is mounted on the OEM control lever for the rear remote. The operator can actuate 4 separate functions without ever removing his hand from the control. Very convenient.

No, diverters do not work that way, only one set of couplers at a time.

Pretty much every customer that has used them has not been happy with the Summit products.
This goes for all of their electric valves and the T&T sets. I have no personal experience with any of the valves, only customers or potential customers complaining about them.

On the positive side, I have purchased and use their 1/2" AG-type breakaway couplers and they are great at a reasonable price. (y)

The rear remote on the MT242HC came with one detent rear remote. Is it possible to pull the detent balls out of the present remote to make it a spring return?

This is what I normally sell for your set of requirements. Cast iron Rexroth-Bosch diverters with an actual control grip that goes on the single rear remote lever.

No rocker switches to actuate, then move your control lever. Everything is done from the single control lever. You can control 4 separate functions and never take your hand from the control
lever.
The far right set is your default set, simply move the lever. The 3 sets of couplers that are on the face of the diverters are controlled with 2 button switches and a trigger switch to actuate the desired diverter and then you move the lever as you would with any other manual control.
So feathering is not an issue.
So, did you paint an LS that color, or did i miss something? 🤔

Sorry, what are you talking about?

I think that guy is a spammer. Notice he has been a registered member for over a year and his first post was just a sarcastic comment that added nothing of value to the thread. I see those guys a lot on another forum I am on.

I also just got an MT242HC and am working on an answer for you since it bothers me that my only remote is a detent when all my applications I use it for are momentary actions on my hay machines.
