I purchased a york rake when I bought my tractor and didnt ask how to hook it up and use. I follwed the directions and I believe it is hooked up correct. But when I lower it using the control it goes down but not not as deep into the ground as I would like it to. Is their another adjustment that will make it go down further? Thanks

I am not sure how your 3 point looks... Do you have extra holes to make your arms go down farther?

Attached is a pic of my 1533, I marked the spot where the extra holes I am talking about. So if I wanted my 3pt to go down farther I would use the holes closer to the tractor.

MrSteve, I looked at the 2310 lift arms and they only have one set of holes, I suppose you could drill two more inboard ones. My question to ad11ad is, why are you trying to lower the rake below grade, I thought the rake was held at grade to level and collect debris.Perhaps a box blade would be used with scarifers to loosen objects. Many have said that gauge wheels on a rake are the cats meow, they keep the rake from digging in,alowing you to level the surface.

I was trying to pull some roots on a area I just cleared and the rake was only going an inch or 2 into the ground and the roots would just slid out. But I made some adjustments and it is working better. I do have a wheel but it is a single wheel and it works ok but not sure it was work the extra money. A friend as a two wheels on the outside of the rake and I like the was his works much better.
