Makes total sense although couldn't it be the clutch for the PTO selector??? the image next to that pedal was a pair of gears so that makes sense now either way. Thanks.

That is the differential lock pedal. Push it in when you want the rear tires to be locked together (rather than one spinning). It is best not to force it to engage, but to gently engage it when the tires are stopped, then slowly start trying to move.

Nice tractor but not enough trailer to haul it on .
Hope you had it tied down much more secure that it shows in this picture.

The trailer is rated for 2,400 pounds so it was plenty trailer for the task, custom built. I had two 3" straps holding it in place, one across the front brush guard and the other around the roll bar. It was cinched down such that it compressed the tires. Didn't budge for the hour commute.

Thanks, I'll be the "cool kid on campus" in my neighborhood since almost nobody has anything bigger than a riding mower. I'll have to wear dark shades and wear my hat backwards to exude my "coolness". :D
OK, now your one of US!! Congratulations!!!
My first lifetime mower with a high priced wheelbarrow on front was a BX2200 and that was 9 years ago and the beginning of 13 Kubota purchases and implement purchases.
First and absolute if your in a neighborhood of riding lawn mowers and the only tractor guy. Get a Kubota hat, probably at a Kubota dealer or order online. Hard to find at Goodwill, guys don't let go of their Kubpta hats. Second, you have to get out on it when a neighbor is mowing with his toy riding mower. You HAVE to drive thru a ditch to get over to him/her. You can't drive down a paved street, no way, not on THE TRACTOR which by the way is NOT a her!!! If you don't have a ditch or some obstacle to drive thru/across to get to the neighbor, you have to make one. Whoever you bought from should have already told you this, the dealer usually tells new guys the rules.
Again, welcome to a brave new world for you.
When you get near your home, trees, cars, etc and you hit them with the tip of the front bucket you'll remember the front tip is about 6"s longer than it appears from the seat. You'll figure it out after a few times. Also the ROPS can grow an inch or two when it comes to going in a garage door.
Also the ROPS can catch a tree limb, pull it back to space launch velocity and release it as your driving along totally in your own world thinking about why you didn't buy one of these tractors years ago. Your face or head will remind you for a few days as to ROPS placement in your tractor world.:)
Keep your bucket down as close to the ground at all times while traveling. This is safety tip number one. I have a bad habit of resting my hand on the FEL lever and not paying attention that I've lifted or lifting the bucket. Bad habit so don't you do it, especially if your on hilly land.

The seat is ok, it is the dead man switch I hate. Was thinking of strapping the seat down with something.

Any links to the seat you bought? does it exclude the switch?

Nice, I'll ensure I do all of the above. I have indeed driven through several ditches, ripped out many a photinia, and moved rocks for the sake of moving rocks!

Seat will be OK till you start getting lots of seat time all at once. Then, once you get a new style seat....boy will you say you hate the old one!! For your info, I found my new style seat on ebay, then sold my old one and recouped some of the money!:D

Does not come with switch, but you can just jumper it....(not safety police correct). You will get used to the safety switch the more seat time you get though.

In your picture, it does look like you may have the original seat. They slope forward, almost feeling like your holding yourself back in it all the time. That makes it easy to tip forward just a bit on rough ground or going downhill, and then the seat switch trips briefly. It will about drive you nuts.

I think if you get a new seat, that is a normal style seat without the forward pitch, you likely won't feel the need to disconnect the seat switch.

Yep, already experienced that when hitting some bumpy terrain. My main gripe is I tend to get off the tractor to do this or that quite often and hate to have to shut it off and start it back up all the time. Like dump this, get out and move the one rock that went for a stroll. Stop here and load these rocks manually to avoid disturbing the dirt, go grab this and put it in the ballast box for use down over there. Seems I get out of the seat quite often.

It shuts off just by getting up from the seat? It should only do that if something is running, like mower PTO or rear PTO. If nothing is engaged it shouldn't shut down, you should be able to get on and off while doing loader work.

On mine, sometimes it will want to stop when I get up and I find I have to move the PTO engage lever - move it back toward on position a bit (not enough to even engage) and back to full off. I'll give it a bit of a push to the off position. I need to clean the switch up a bit so it doesn't do that - had to do it before. You might try that.
