So pump pressure isn't what you're using but it's what you have available and how much a valve is allowed depends on what is before that valve in the circuit. Correct?

Yes.

A valve directs fluid to where it is needed.

When the flow meets resistance, pressure is developed. A light load might only develop 1500 psi.

A bucket of dirt might develop 2500 psi.

Valves upstream have priority.

Just go to Surplus and purchase a 2 or 3 spool valve with the options you want for your new projects, like float, detent, maybe a motor spool , etc.

You will come out money ahead if you can turn a wrench.

I'd like to add 3 remotes to my L4330. Is it possible to install the 3 spool valve (from SC) and the mount for the rear remotes QD's and then take the tractor to a hydraulic hose shop and have them fab all the hoses and install them including the QDs and the supply and return lines? Has anyone ever done this, and if so, how did it turn out?

Hopefully not a hijack.

Thanks,

Seems like it should be fine. The guy that makes hoses for me just needs the length and the fitting type and size

Ok. I'm back. I looked the tractor over and in the line going to the 3pt there is a quick disconnect. I'm guessing this is where the remote would be had the tractor been bought with the option. I'm assuming if I buy a 2 spool valve and a power beyond sleeve I would use the power beyond sleeve to continue the path to the 3pt and ultimately to the tank. Then plug the return port on the new valve . Correct?

JJ already answered the previous question. I guess I should refresh my memory before asking redundant questions. Thanks to all. I guess I'll be trying my hand at hydraulics before to long

Here is how kubota does it. You can get some ideals from it and see where they pick up hyd.

Why all the recommendations to jury-rig aftermarket valves when factor remotes are available?

Just go get what you need from Kubota. They bolt right up and look like they belong (because they do). I can see aftermarket make-shift solutions when that is the only thing available... but when there is a factor valve designed for your tractor, that is going to be the best solution.

You bet that is the way to go!!!

When using PB, all tank lines go to tank.

Because 2 remotes from kubota is about $1700. A 2 spool valve from surplus is about 210 or 220. Drill a few mounting holes, make a bracket or so, and a few hoses later, viola! Got to be cheaper then $1700.

Thanks for the file but I can't get it to open. Could you send it in a pm or an email maybe?

I couldn't find where to add it in PM, if you send me your email by PM me and I'll be glad to send it.

Some of the good folks here on TBN want you to spend lots of money for something that should be less.

However if you have the know how and want to spend less, you will look at Surplus or where ever and purchase exactly what you need as to the type of spools required and how many spools, and you actually know how everything works.

T-N-T requires two spools, one with float and one more for whatever, would be good.

It should not take much to find a good location for the valve and to connect things up right for a fully operational setup that looks good.

If you look at some of the past installs you will see some good setups.

Factory install is not necessarily the way to go.

Does your tractor have a loader and hyd block?

If so, then remove the PB hose on the hyd block and connect the PB line to the new valve, and then connect the PB from the remote valve back to the port on the hyd block.

The valves should now be n series for a complete flow path.

All tank lines go to tank.

Price will be determined by the valve you purchase as to the number of spools, etc.

If you only need a two spool valve, we can guide you to the right place.

The valve should have a PB port with a PB adapter.
Thanks j j can you send me a diagram I would like to buy this valve block so I can hook my 3point log splitter up thanks j j my name is Jim from oh. I have a Kubota 4310

Just fyi, this post is from 2015 so you may or may not get a reply. If your interested in details, I wrote up a 'how to' on adding remotes to your tractor (mine is the same, but a 4610). How I added rear remote hydraulics to my tractor
