Kubota L2900 GST
A newbie here with a question about hydraulics. Done a lot of searches on the subject here but want to be sure.

I have an L2900 GST with a front loader. I now have a pull gang reel mower with one hyd line that I need to add a remote connector and valve to the tractor. I priced the kit from Kubota and wow $800. Being a DIYer I think I can add this for less and have some fun doing it.

My oper manual shows the Hyd block outlet has 3 ports: (1) From implement, Inlet (2) To implement, Outlet (3) From Implement, Tank Port. All are commected to operate the Front loader.

I have read about the power beyond option and do not understand what it does in the system, just that it is required for this type of add to the system.

I have searched this site for help but still need help. If anyone could help with a flow diagram schmetic and explain how to "tap" into my current hyd system to add a valve and remotes.

Thanks to this site I have learned a lot about the mounting of valves and running lines along with the safety issues associated with hydraulics, that in itself is fantastic.

Thanks Scott

You haven't searched well enough. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

To add your own valve it must have power beyond capabilities, usually by just adding a sleeve into an outlet port.

To connect, you do as follows: <ul type="square"> [*]Disconnect the hose that is connected to the "from implement" port on the hydraulic block. This is the PB hose from the loader valve. [*]Take that hose and connect it to your aux valve's inlet port using a union fitting and another hose or just get a longer hose to go from the loader's PB outlet to your aux valve's inlet. [*]Run a hose from the PB outlet of your aux valve to the "from implement" port on the hydraulic block. [*]Finally, disconnect the hose from the hydraulic block "From implement tank port" and replace it with a Tee fitting. Reconnect the hose to one leg of the tee fitting and connect a hose from your aux valve's tank port to the other leg of the Tee fitting. [/list] You have just successfully connected your aux valve in series with the hydraulic circuit and are now all set to go.
