Adding a 12volt outlet

Thanks!
Yeah, I'd prefer power on when the key is on...my headlamps are powered rather the key is on or not. Sooner or later, I'm going to leave those lamps on when I shut down the tractor.
Well, I always back the tractor in the garage...just in case I need to jump it or tow it some day.

These outlets are pretty darn addictive once you have started using them. I use the one's on my ATV's for a 12 volt air compressor, 12 volt sprayer for weeds, and a 4 zillion candle power handle bar mounted/hand held spotlight that will burn weeds and singe hair on critters at 50 yards.

This one...

Amazon.com: Wolo Model 3550M-A Aurora Magnetic Mount Halogen Mini Bar Warning Light - Amber: Automotive

Haven't decided on which outlet though. It'll be a marine type since those are all weather types. Amazon has quite a collection.

As I'd written in my first post, the strobe would be used in my pickup as well for road side emergencies. In fact, it would be kept in the truck except for the relatively rare times I'd want it on the tractor.

That looks like a nice one.

Roy, If you do not already know this the receptacle you are looking at is the same one Deere puts on the 2520 and 2720 tractors.

Roy, I bought a stainless steel marine outlet for my 4200. I plan on putting it below the dash on the left of the fuse panel door. I already looked behind there and there's nothing in the way that I can see. I'm just going to run a hot wire directly to the battery through a circuit breaker and ground the other side to the frame. If anybody sees a problem with that idea please let me know before I start drilling.

Thanx

John

That's probably what I'm going to do too...since Tractor Pilot brought up the very good idea of using it for a trickle charger too.

BTW, did you ever sell your 72" Midmount mower?

Nope, didn't know that...

No, i wish someone would buy it. I hate to give it away at an auction.

Did you try Jim, at Southern York Turf and Tractor? He was looking for one, but that's been a year ago, I'd guess.

That looks like a nice one.

The warning light was delivered a day ago. It is a nice light...very bright!!!
It's also considerably bigger then I thought it was!! It's 26" long by just about 10" wide. I rough mounted it on the ROPS and I am considering returning it for a smaller unit.
I bought this one off Amazon.com which list the weight, but not the dimensions. If any of you are considering a warning light such as this, I suggest you go to the manufacturer's website (in this case, Wolo) and look for the dimensions before you order.
It would work very nicely on a pick up truck though.
CTF, this would be too big for your BX, I think.
