Thanks for the response. Nice!

No problem

On our ZD326 I turned the left rear wheel around which dished it in about 3" which made it a lot easier to trim with, not sure if you could do that on the new series or not.

That is a great idea. I'm glad I'm not the only one who found this difficult. I'll look at it but i think the new low profile wheels are offset much more than the old wheels. At least I'm fairly certain that's how Kubota increased the track width the wheels look really deep dished on the 1211. I'll have to get the tape measure out and see if it looks like it will work or not.

Fueled up at 19.9 hours 10.0 hours since the last fill up. I still had 3 bars showing on the gauge. Took 8.5 gallons 0.85gph not bad at all. I'm thoroughly enjoying this purchase

Sorry to bring up an older thread but it didnt make sense to start a new. I pulled the trigger on a ZD1211 last week. So far I am loving it. It has a few quirks such as the offset front axle, the rear tires are almost to wide compared to the deck, and the rops is high even folded but I love everything else. QOC is amazing, ride is great, diesel is super smooth, very tightly built. It is not quite as nimble as my recently sold Hustler X-one (due to dealer issues I was fed up with) but that is to be expected given its HST and 400 pounds heavier. My favorite part is walking into a now color coded barn with my L3800, land pride implements, echo and Stihl gear, and husq push mower. Just brings a tear to my eye ha.

I am curious, are you all still running the oem blades? At first use they seem pretty good. Have you sourced a second set yet? On the Kubota site, they do not yet have the ZD1211 listed in their parts section so I can't seem to find where I should get a second set of blades to alternate....or is there a better blade anyone has found.

Any other mods or critiques you guys have made or found?

Thanks all.

I just installed a pair of XHT HD blades on an old John Deere 185 Hydro last week...I was very impressed...Highly recommended. I purchased off of ebay.

Howdy,
The offset axle doesn't take much time to get used too it just looks goofy.

The rear track width while great for hill stability takes some getting used to. When trying to trim around objects.

I checked at the dealer who compared the zd1211 blade to what was supposed to be a gator blade off the previous zd326. The center hole was smaller and the blade width and gauge were also smaller. He showed no match in the Oregon catalog. I never measured the blade myself. I just blew all the leaves off my uard with the mower it worked pretty good i was looking for something that might much a little better.

I had to do some liming on a mountain ash after getting the folded rops caught and wheeling out from underneath it. Overall i love the mower. I can usually mow 10 hours on 8 gallons or slightly less

Thanks for the updates.

Are you able to trim around objects closely now that you have some hours on it?

So are you just sharpening the blades that came with it or were you able to get another set of the oem clean cut blades to alternate? I don't even see our mower in Kubotas parts website yet.

No problem. I've sharpened the blades and have not purchased a replacement set yet. Search for RCK60P-1200Z. This is the deck model number.

I don't think ill ever be able to mow as close with zd1211 w60" the deck only protrudes a couple inches past the tire. I used to be able to stick the trailing edge out around stuff just can't do that with this mower or i end up running the tire into things. The 72" would be better. I've definitely my technique though.

Still loving the mower? I'm getting some serious hours on mine now and getting used to it all. Great so far. I repeated your rops experience last week when it caught a maple limb. Scared the &%$# out of me. Finally got a second set of blades too. Weren't cheap .

Only thing I have noticed on my Ohio yard so far is, at first glance of the grass, it seems the grass is getting ripped or tearing on some of the grass instead if actually cutting crisp. I bought dom new blades and sharpened em right out of the box. This didmt change the effects . Just curious, you notice anything like this? It really isn't a huge deal and my goodness it cuts so uniform, just noticed the ripped edges and a light Browning after my cuts so was curious if it's nature ofntje beast or something was up. Blade rpm speed looks per the brochure not to be much slower than the deck on my last hustler x one.

Thanks all

Im testing out the gator blades on my mower right now they seem to cut the wide blade tall fescue better. I get a very small amount of brown on the edge. They do appear to cut pretty smooth when looking at the blade. Might try my honda push mower but i dont think its any better
