Brad, so that means it comes with a sleeve or some other type of internal system to separate the high pressure from the return?

It should look a lot like this:
http://www.princehyd.com/Portals/0/products/valves/LvtInstS.pdf

Judging from the Surplus Center pic, it's all set up for power beyond, just plumb the power beyond, inlet, and tank ports.

Run the working port hoses to a plate with bulkhead fittings that tighten to holes in the plate, and attach your quick connects to the other side of the bulkhead fittings.
Wow, bulkhead fittings are hard to find. Here are some. Stay away from brass as they are only rated for 1200psi.

I see, when you add the plug as in the illustration, it does the same thing as when you add a sleeve in other valves.

Why aren't bulkhead plates prefabricated?

Brad,

I am not so sure the valves come set up with PB. It is usually an option. It will be a screw plug in this valve, under the hex nut.

glukowicz,

When you order the valve, ask about the PB screw adapter, if it is included.

The only way to know is to ask Surplus or when you receive it, unscrew the hex nut and look for the screw.

The page from Prince also shows the remote cables operation.

power beond- I have a john deere 2305 and whanted to add rear hoses to the rear so I got a electric diverder valve from surplus center mounted to the loader mounting bracket 2 short hoses and a push button to my joy stick about 250.00 and it works perfect just push the buttion when I need rear hyds.(simple)

Did you need a new valve for your new joystick? Do you remember what valve you purchased and where you got the joystick? Also if you used only 2 hoses do you only have 1 set of rear remotes? I need 2 sets of emotes, one to angle and one to tilt.

Hi JJ,
I would put money on the valve coming with the plug.
Compare the description "with power beyond" of the valve we are discussing with the description of the second linked item that requires a sleeve that is sold separately.

Glucowicz,
It is possible to add 2 diverter valves to your existing 2-spool loader valve. I thought it was gone over earlier in this thread and you decided to go with the full set of remotes. I just added a diverter to my tractor to operate the grapple on my loader. I added a switch from NAPA to my existing joystick handle. It works great and the plumbing is clean especially since the grapple is on the loader. For multiple functions not associated with the loader I think the economy and convenience of the solenoid diverters are diminished.

I used the $110 valve 220-934 at the bottom of this page:
Hydraulic Cylinder Components, Products
It doesn't look like the picture and it came with no instructions but it did come compete with the electrical connector and it works great.

If you look at the last picture Flusher's nice dealer installed setup the bulkhead bracket looks like a piece of 3/16 plate welded to a piece of angle iron. Not a mass produced item. The $1000 factory kit might come with a nice bracket. A bi-metal hole saw will put holes in plate if you want to make it yourself. A friendly shop with an ironworker machine can make one to your sketch pretty quickly.

glukowicz,

You never did say if your FEL valve had PB and is it in use?

Before this gets confusing again, what do you really want to do?

Did you consider a joystick valve for the tilt and angle?

Brad,

I called Surplus about the PB screw, and they did confirm that the screw was installed in this valve. Therefore, it is ready for PB use as is.

My FEL valve has PB, it goes to TPH. I want to operate a scrape blade with the hyd for angle and tilt.

No, I haven't considered a joystick valve, but I am open to any ideas.

Was my understanding of the plumbing of the valves correct in a few posts back?

This valve with the joystick would present a much more challenging mount. I will have to look at the tractor to see what could be made and where it might attach on the tractor. Also it appears with this vale I would need a PB sleeve.

I also made my own rear remotes. It was really simple, much like the ones on the Mahindra.

I simply came out of my FEL valve's PB port, about $30 for the fitting. I then got a two spool valve. Something like this.Prince Two-Spool Control Valve, Model# RD522GCGA5A4B1 | Control Valves | Northern Tool + Equipment I paid less than $200

The rest was just the fittings, hoses, and some steel to make the brackets. I mounted it on the fender also. I had about $200 more in just the 6 hoses. The feed and return were about 8' long and the 4 work hoses were about 3' each. I branched off via a "T" on the return line prior to the system filter. Works great. Probably got close to $600 in it. Just no way to do it cheap and have it work the way I wanted.

As for using the FEL valve that is one way of doing it but the worst solution in my eyes. I love having both working for dirt work and snow removal.

I'd look at one like this

He only has 8.4 GPM. so the valve I posted above would be better for his application.

Can you show a diagram how you did this, or describe the setup in more detail.

Did you use the diverter valve to select the curl hyd to send to the back, or did you set it up to select between the FEL valve and the remote valve?

If you only used it to divert the curl hyd, you would have to hold the lever in a locked position to operate the remote valve.

After going out to the tractor, there was nos a way that I could see to use the joystick valve. My three point hitch control is on my right and then the fender. The fender comes up fairly high and flares out to the right to give some extra room. That valve is 17" from the top of joy stick to bottom of the valve, so that would male the joystick to far above the fender. And there is no where between the seat and the fender to locate it.

I have ordered the first valve you told me about, JJ. The 9-7693 it is the 2 sool valve. I can mount this on the fender and have a bracket made over the lines and around the valve. The plumbing will all be fairly short and if I am lucky the existing PB line to the TPH will work for the inlet line of the new valve.

I will repost after work is done. I will try to remember to take photos also as I do the work.

Well, I got the remotes installed after having to start and stop work on them due to health issues. Everything works except the remotes! The three point hitch, the FEL work fine. I can't see that anything is plumbed wrong and I am not sure where to start to troubleshoot. If someone can give me some advice of how to start looking, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also I just tried one of the rear remotes on a hydraulic top link and that is what is not working.

Check item 3 in the link and make sure it is installed.

Can you take a pic of the remote valve with hoses installed, and tell us which hose in mounted where?

Some tractors have a switch to include the remote valve in the flow path. My Kubota does. .

I remember that you called Surplus about the power beyond plug and they told you it came installed, but I will check tomorrow. I also will take a photo and label the hoses.

I installed this valve between the FEL and the 3 pt hitch, so I am not sure how a switch would affect this valve.

Thanks for the help.
