Air filter kit

I own a B2100 and when I recently changed the single air filter element I noticed a barely discernible film of dust on the intake to the engine; this is worrisome. Do the dual air filter kits advertised for the B1700, 2100, and 2400 convert the air filtration system into separate inner and outer elements such as present on the current B7500? Is it difficult to install the kit? Are they effective? Thanks for any info.

EBS, I personally don't know the answer to most of your questions, but my dealer says: Yes, they are two separate filters, and yes, they are easy to install.

As for the last one, I can answer that one myself: Yes, they are very effective. I wouldn't be without one myself. I had noticed the dust on a previous tractor with a single stage air filter, too. I cured mine by taking some filter foam, soaking it in foam filter oil, and wrapping the standard filter with it. But the double element filter is better.
