All is not well on TBN

When I set the number of pages to be displayed on any forum,it will not stay where I put it like show the last 2 days. That is the way I have it set on my home page. What am I doing wrong?

I have the combination, running 98se all updated except ie 5.5 rather than 6, however, nothing under display settings affects the number of pages displayed, only posts per page. After reading his server thread, I think we're talking about Default Thread Age. I'll bet this is someone messing with their roller mouse while the field is still highlighted! Been there! SteveV

He's right, if the default aged thread is set for 2 days and a forum is selected, all threads will show unless the "show" box for 2 days is selected in each forum at the bottom of the page. It makes the cut when selected, just the default setting from the home page wasn't passed through. Different minds work different ways, I've never used this feature. SteveV

Is any headway being made on this problem. you are just killing your server by loading so many pages each time.

When you go back to display preferences, does it show 2 days, or forum default in the drop-down box?

It show 2 days. Each forum that I go to always loads 20 pages.

I've put it on the list to investigate. Don't have the time right now, but I will get to it. I consider it a fairly minor issue since not many users take advantage of that feature.
