Just thought those of you who are MF through and through like myself would like this...

I took a quick look around my neighbors' places on my road and checked out their tractors. granted, the road i live on is but one-lane and ain't but about two miles long. anyway, Here's the list:

In my G-Grandpa's barn is my cousin's MF 135. Across the creek is my MF471. just up the road, another MF 135. at the top of the hill, an older MF 50. and at the end of the road, two MF 135's and a big ole' MF 262. Other than my old allis d14, there is no other brand but MF on my entire road...perty cool. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
did i mention that my father has a MF 65?

nasty135;

great name by the way...I love those 135's. they go for big money down here (5k++). yours looks good, as well as those other two you have there.

MF is the best sellin' brand in the world for a reason... not even green can match it.
Perkins power. and that total gpm. and longevity. and....

startin to sound like a dealer...sorry.

SouthernMan, If your looking at my gallery and saw the three amigo's in the one picture the 1428 is my bro in laws.

That was delivery day and his was on the back of the trailer and had to be off loaded so mine could come off,so I took a picture of all three together. It makes a good size comparison picture for those who are trying to make a decision based on size /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Jerry, Sorry the yellow would just clash with my gray hair /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Unless the hat is black w/yellow lettering /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

SouthernMan, enjoyed the rundown of the MF's on your road!
We just became the proud owners of our first MF this summer - a 40E Industrial Turbo-diesel with PowerShuttle... (still looking for an owner/operators manual though).

I have a MF-50 56 and I love her. She can trurn tighter then my Yard Machine riding mower. My neighboor has a JD and I put up a "Friends don't let friends drive green tractors." But I love my 50. It does not stop until I get back to the shed. I have a Farmall SMTA and it loves to stop as far out as it can.

Hi all. I have a 135, too, a 1974 2500hrs. It's a bit loose in some of its joints (who isn't?) but runs like a champ and does so every time I want it. The little Perkins deisel is always willing, and is good holding back a load of wood coming down out of the woods. Also had a MH50 Massey Harris of 1958 with the Continental and a backhoe and loader. Fella I sold it to in 1981 still uses it regularly.
Anyway, I'm jumping ship and getting a neighbor's Ford for the 4wd and loader, so if you hear anyone wants my 135 it's for sale. Western Mass. Probably I'll miss the reliability of the 135.
Jim
