remember.. on a center 0 ammeter.

put alt/genny charge wire one one side of ammeter.. put other side of ammeter to battery or hot side of solenoid.

put ALL loads like lamps and ignition, etc, on the sid eof the ammeter with the alt/genny.

orient wires so that meter is deflecting positive when running.. and negative when ff with lamps on.

this gives you a net charge / discharge setup.

Put a GM 10SI one wire unit on and be done with it for anot $70

What worrries me is that the alternator connects to the control module, the alternator does have a voltage regulator built in.

new alternator but battery goes down quickly meaning hay baler operates at 10 %
normal speed
