I just want to speak about a topic that is really important- getting information from at least two sources. I sold Bobcats in Wisconsin for many years (I was pretty darn successful too) before I went into business for myself as a contractor (thought it would slow my life down some-I was wrong). I majored in Math during college, and went back to get my teaching certificate. I now teach Junior High math to our future generations, but I still own two machines, one S220 and an RC50 that I use for small contracting jobs in the summer, and for doing some snow removal in the winter. My fiance thinks that I have an equippment addiction. She's right, I'm fascinated by all things mechanical, especially earth moving equippment, hydraulics, and specs from all of the manufacturers. I relied on this knowledge when I sold equippment.

I don't post often, but I have posted on another forum from time to time, and this one once in a while. Basically, I really only post when i think i can add a different angle on a discussion, or when I think someone is putting out information that is either in error, or doesn't tell the whole story. i am still biased for brands just like the next person, but since i've been on the buying end of the equipment world I will give kudos to equipment I'm not particularly fond of (I thought the 95XT was one of the best things CASE ever came out with). I'm not directing this e-mail at any particular poster, but I think it's important as you guys make buying decisions.

Not basing purchases on specs., feel and fit IMO would get someone into trouble quicker than making a fully informed decision. But, it's amazing still how many people will buy "stuff" just so they can say they have that "stuff" :
