By the way, congrats and welcome. Be patient.

Here’s the math. Your dealer would buy the 3rd function kit from Kioti at wholesale plus freight at a favorable rate because Kioti is a high volume shipper with their carrier of choice. IF your dealer were to buy the third function kit from a competitive dealer he migght get a small percentage off full retail price and pay the shipping which probably would be higher because the selling dealer ships a relatively small number of packages per week.

I finally got my DK 4710se today. Bought it 3 weeks ago. It was already on the lot, but the options I wanted had to be ordered and installed. My dealer said Kioti had been hacked and had lost all computers and phones. 3rd function was one of the options I got.

Just bought a pickup this week, well took delivery. They were to add trailer brake controller on it and had to order it. Was couple of days after I picked up the pickup was called it was in. Yes was disappointed it was not installed but it was understandable.

Understand your disappointment but think you were expecting too much from the dealer as has been pointed out dealer with it in stock could be anything but his friend. It would concern me for Kioti system to be down that long more wondering is that were real or an excuse.
I have some experience with Kioti and it is not unusual for them to shut down for the better part of a week because they decide to do a business system upgrade or do a warehouse inventory with no regard for the time of year or inconvenience to dealers or end users.

I am in the process of buying a Kioti NX5010C with 2 added remotes (3 total) and the 3rd function kit. The dealer told me upfront that it would be 7 - 10 days from signing to delivery. The basic machine was available at the regional warehouse about 3 hours away. So far, we are on track for meeting that timetable. The computer virus slowed us down a bit in checking availabiliy, but the dealer did it the old-fashioned way using the telephone - probably even a landline.

He did not know about the 3rd remote / bolt issue, so I had to send him posts from TBN to educate him on that. But I must say that he has been very receptive to my input and we have kept it on a friendly basis. As someone said earlier though, I am like a kid at Christmas waiting to take delivery.

The dealer did not require any money on the deal until delivery. One thing that we have not completely resolved is that I want to pay with a credit card to get my 2% reward points. He pays 5% (!!) for CC payments and would like a check. Obviously, there is a middle ground here. Is it common or not for dealers to accept CC for payment on such a large purchase? 5% seems exorbitant to me.

It is quite common for dealers to not accept CC payments for wholegoods purchases. They will usually negotiate a surcharge arrangement if the buyer presses the issue. CC paymen5 for parts and service is generally acceptable due to the higher margins.

Same issue here currently with my NX5010 HST. Signed the paperwork 3 weeks ago, their system went down, no tractor yet.

However, my dealer picked up their phone, called around, found one in TN, went down and picked it up themselves, drove it up and got it to the lot today. They'll be installing the third function remote tomorrow, delivering the tractor Monday. Then once the second rear remote comes in, they'll pick the tractor back up install it and bring it back.

Odds are, I'll have them install a third rear for TnT instead of just top link. Then I'll still have an open port for God knows what.

Overall all, sucks waiting 3+ weeks for something that should have been 5 days, but whatever, things happen. They took it upon themselves to drive from northern IN to Memphis to get me a tractor so I cannot complain.

Sux to have to wait. Not just Kioti. Bought a new LS beginning of Jun. I wanted a 3rd rear remote installed. Was told shipment due in 19 Jun. We had scheduled to leave on vacation 20 Jun, so arranged for delivery Jul 3, day after our return.
Tractor delivered without 3rd rear remote, something about kit missing parts. Arranged to get it installed at 50 hour servicing. That was done 9/10.
I have used the new remotes, but not all 3 sets, so technically no harm not having them.
So patience, preserve your relationship.

The CC company has to get your 2% from somewhere and take a percentage for themselves. There are many CC transaction companies all with differing "discount rates" and differing terms for the business. 5% is one of the really high ones, but it is that high because of your 2% rebate card. The CC transaction company I am familiar with charges a different discount rate on every card. We don't know what the cut will be until the end of month statement.

Car, motorcycle, boat, and apparently tractor dealers readily and happily swap "floored" merchandise. Most distributors have a "flooring" finance plan for new vehicle inventory "on the floor." Dealer gets free interest for a period of time, then an outrageous interest rate kicks in (thats how they pay for the "free" period). By trading a vehicle to another dealer the flooring clock gets reset on the unit ordered to replace it. So the stocking dealer benefits by having new vehicles longer in inventory without finance charges.

Distributor to dealer incentives are often based on how many vehicles the dealer moved without running out the flooring clock.

Accessories are often not covered by flooring so the dealer has to pay cash or borrow money elsewhere to keep in stock. Same for used trade-in.
