Go to HF, they almost always have a cheap one for about $15 to $20.

heck.. look close enough and they have 9.99 sales every now and then. every time they do i grab one.

can use them as disposables on bad jobs that beat up tools. like if working inthe sand, or loaned out... keep my $$ makita at home.. use the 10$ chicom to cut bolts off a disc or track burried inthe sand. e tc..

Just about every welder I have talked to says metabo is the best out there. Second is bosch. I have a 4 1/2 ridgid (back when they were made my metabo) and it has been great. I also have a 6" metabo that is very nice but haven't had it long enough to speak personally about longevity. I also have a hf 4 1/2 that I rarely use... just doesn't have the power of my other ones, especially with a cup brush, it heats up very quickly- to the point it is uncomfortable to hold.

I have never had much luck with harbor freight electric tools, They just don't have the torque. I use their chainsaw grinder but it is awful weak.

+1 for Metabo as the best out there.

If you get a cheap 4.5" make sure its sufficiently powerful. Some of the real cheapies are only about 350w and will slow down rapidly if you use a metal cutting blade. You need at least 500w.

i've experienced no problem with 14" chopsaw, 1/2" hammer drill and non hammer drill, 3/8 non fast huck drill, nor any of it's angle grinders.. in the past did get a disapointing wheel grinder though.. replacement was better though.

i did get a chainsaw sharpener and a dremil like tool that was disapointing and was taken back..
