Mr BUCKEYEFARMER

Understand that thread needs closure, my rookie error, self administered requisite number of WHAP WHAP's .... On another note, political resistance to FRACKING in NY has cost local economies MILLIONS!
(in lost revenue and economic development, infrastructure improvements)

For whatever reasons we have lost a united national spirit...and are experiencing a divided society...
Some of the earlier posts in this thread (about the Gemini and Apollo programs) brought back some of the best memories I have of just being an American I can remember...
A good majority of the technological advances we are enjoying today were initiated in the "space race" era...
I only hope our future holds something as special as that time and it is not just terror and threats of war that bring us together again...
Testify Brother!

Maybe i assumed the wrong closed thread. I looked at rural and saw another closed thread, one i did not participate in, nor whap.
Having been on TBN several yrs, there are certain topics that come up that always end up going down the same path to closure.

Yes; all true and good and understood long time ago. Now the only part left is how does all that moisture get into the clouds if all is below freezing?? It should require a considerable amount of precipitation for ice cap formulation that may be miles thick.
Air moves.
It seems you may be making an assumption that the whole earth and atmosphere was below freezing - - with all oceans frozen over?

... is that a Ford/New Holland 555????

Yes, and Thank You. It's a 2 wheel drive 1998 555E with 8,000 hours on it now. I bought it with 1,800 hours back in 2003. I took off the front bucket and fabricated a Universal Quick Attach plate to it so I can use the grapple, pallet forks and hay forks instead of just the bucket.

Simple, it is picked up by warm air masses, usually over the ocean, that moves on and cools down to drop snow.

DThis is all basic science that I learned way back in grade school.

YOu seem to be either trolling or straining real hard to find somthing to argue about. You'll have to look elsewhere.

A simple question and a simple answere. Took a long time to get it.

It seems there was prior talk disclaiming a climate change to hotter. Even impending ice age was mentioned. At present both poles are considered dessert and ice mass is decreasing. Means somewhere in the past there had to be pretty warm weather somewhere for moisture containing clouds to form and precipitate enough moisture for ice to accumulate in the polar hemispheres. Means ocean currents and wind patterns were different to get the moisture laden air to the polar regions. That is not happening at the present moment. It seems there are swaths on earth where desertification is advancing at present.

I just missed buying one last week. I was a day late in calling. Everyone says they are great machines. I'm going tomorrow to look at an old 555 with extend-a-hoe and 4n1 bucket.

Good idea on the QA.
