New Holland TC29
I wonder if you TBN vets ever get tired of newbie questions? lets hope note, you've been a big help to alot of us looking for new or used tractors to buy and play, oops I mean "work" with. My questions are these, what exactly is break-out force? and where is the 3pt lift capacity measured? the say 24" aft of the hitch but does that mean 24" past the end of the links or 24" past where the links connect to the tractor?

I get to pick up my used ( but new to me ) tc29 in 2 weeks cant wait /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif it has 1065 hrs and looks a little rough but has a 7308 loader the dealer said it is mechanically sound.

if your wondering about the name I'll send a few pics after i get the tractor and then youll see why I chose this name

thanx for the help

ASAE S301.3 measures the breakout and lift capacity 800 MM (31.5") forward of the bucket pivot pin. Breakout force is how much the loader can lift just coming off the ground and is much more than the rated lift capacity of the loader. I guess you think of it as if the loader bucket is burried in a pile but flat to the ground and is "breaking out".

Not all loaders are specified using ASAE S301.3 /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

As far as the rated lift of the 3pt hitch, it is 24" past where the links connect to the tractor?

Hope this helps. Enjoy your new machine.
