After much research here on TBN, I got me an RTV500. Thanks to advice from General Lee I went with the ATV tires since I plan to use it mostly in the woodlot. I installed a small tool box and a fire extinguisher under the hood and a 5" convex mirror on the front ROPS crossbar. Now I'm waiting for the snow to melt and the ground to dry up so I can put it to work.

Congratulations!!

I'm confident that you will be pleased with your purchase. My only regret about purchasing my RTV 900 in 2009 is that I didn't buy it earlier.

I like your idea about mounting a fire extinguisher -- I will do something similar.

Beautiful ! Use it in good health ! I cut a rubber stall mat and put in the bed of my 900 , hold it in with two brass toilet bolts, works great. I also cover my roll cage in the winter with the 3M patio door shrink wrap, keeps the wind and weather off you, a poor mans cab !

Nice! Good to see another 500 owner. Thanks for the props about the tires :) Glad I could help in some small way in deciding about your purchase.

Congratulations. The 500 is a really nice machine. I really enjoyed mine. Good call on getting the ATV tires.
