May want to consider how much you are going to use a backhoe. Lot of fellows for hire in Perry County. Could get a nice tractor with all of your other attachments and hire out the back hoe work and probably come out ahead.

If you look at Kubota, I think you will find the pricing of the other dealer in Perry County will be more favorable then the "M" dealership.

BX23s is looking like the likely choice at this point, I just will need to come up with a down payment to get the financing I'm looking for.

You're probably right on being able to get most of my immediate needs done more cheaply by hiring out, but there's also something to be said for being able to accomplish what I want to accomplish on my own. I feel pretty confident I can get my money out of a backhoe on the property over the course of 5 years or so.

I've not been to the "M" dealership yet -- the current Kubota pricing I have is from Dotterer in Honey Grove.

How much of a hurry are you in? What's your timeframe? And do you ever go near Clearfield? RK has a store there. It's been said they're trying to get tractors to all their stores in the next few months. You could look at the RK Tractor site and see if they're of interest.

The RK Tractor Guy told another poster the Clearfield PA store will get RK Tractors March 2019

Considered used? I was in exactly the same spot and wound up buying a used JD 2 series. About 55% of what a new one would cost me. However, I will say, I'm not sure I'd want to mow with this thing with the backhoe on there, it's a little too heavy to make pass after pass on my lawn without tearing it up. I can't see mowing happily with a BH attached at all, it's a big top heavy implement that will catch crap riding around on the regular (IMHO). Maybe a used (cheaper) tractor/backhoe and a zero turn (which is what I use to mow)?

My wife got impatient one day and did some mowing with the backhoe on (I take it off for her). She does not recommend it.

I'm thinking by October, but I'm not 100% sure.

Good to know!

I've thought about it, but having just bought a house earlier this year and being in the midst of various necessary home improvements it would be hard to do. In general it seems like the pricing on used SCUTs is high, sounds like you got a solid deal on your JD 2 series.

Out of curiosity, called an out of state LS dealer about an MT125. $16,500 delivered for an MT125 with loader, backhoe and 60" MMM.

Sounds like a pretty good deal, ask them if they would deliver it out of state could they delete sales tax, I live in Maine and a dealer in VT delivered my tractor sales tax free..
