Yes Dave since this is going to be an on road off road trailer I need to incorporate lights into the rear somehow strong and stealth so I don't smash them off in the woods. Thinking of incorporating somehow with the tailgate latch assemblies.
Thinking the tailgate will hinge up AND down so it could be used to haul dirt even though I have another trailer for dirt, double hinged tailgate would make it more sale-able down the road as would on road capability.
Ordered dual 1.75 x 23 inch hydraulic cylinders yesterday.

The lift is 10 years old buts seldom gets used. I have 3 of those (2 at another location), they are nice units with no cables or chains just one hydraulic line on the ceiling that uses a valve to keep level. Lifts are made near Montreal. The trolley goes up and down with the lift. $1,000 dollar option if I remember correctly, well worth the money.
