Try some A1 sauce on steamed shrimp...!
I'd do that.Try some A1 sauce on steamed shrimp...!
If it’s a good steak and properly prepared you shouldn’t need anything but a little salt and pepper.A1 Steak sauce on the side in a puddle for dipping your steak or hamburger in is also great. But I am the only one in my house that likes it.
Thats a new one on me.I suppose we acquire tastes for certain things based on family tradition or habit. For instance, when I was child, my mother would crunch up saltine crackers into a cereal bowl and add cold milk. This was a common snack to this day I still enjoy. Nobody else I know enjoys or is willing to try this simple treat. My wife discouraged our children from this snack so nobody else in my family has a taste for it.
I believe it’s more healthy than most sugary snacks.
and it showsA few years ago I was in TX on business with several women co-workers. We went out to a steak place one night and when the waiter finished taking all of our orders, he said "you're not from around here are you?". I asked if he knew that due to our "Ohio accents", but he said no it was because no one ordered a side of ranch. He said most people there, especially women, drown their food in ranch dressing.![]()
I forgot about making grilled cheese with mayo, I used to do that a lot. Then I added a fresh slice of tomato after grillingA friend showed me how to make grilled cheese sandwiches using mayonnaise instead of butter and Monterrey Jack instead of cheddar. It tastes nothing like a grilled cheese sandwich but is quite tasty. If you wanted to make it Italian I suppose you could add some salami and use a hoagie bun turned upside down.
