Once 50% of the states legalize, and that may be sooner than later, that is quite possible. Let the local government take care of it.
You just making up law now? HS

My Sister in Law and her man live in Colorado. They run one of the first legal stores there. I've really enjoyed visiting them each year and catching up on this market's progress. The first couple years Kelim was very paranoid. He feared the Feds. He feared them having a change of heart and jumping state authority and confiscating their assets. Also none of the local banks (very large city) would open an account with him. They too considered the money "illegal". Now that too has relaxed.

The big shift over the past year has been a swing to edibles. That is the majority of their market now. They have been inspected and audited a couple times. Their record keeping exceeds all requirements. They've never had a problem in that regard.

Kelim reminds me so much of a Missouri Grain Farmer. When he talks, it's in terms of production, fertilization, lighting conditions, etc., etc. Just like a Grain Farmer talking about his upcoming crop season. Except Kelim is starting a new crop constantly. They have expanded to two locations now. I have learned a lot about the plant and what it takes to get maximum production and the different strains which produce a different "high". Very interesting to me.

I wouldn't want their headaches or stress. They are very profitable now. And they deserve every penny of it. It's their entire life (no kids).

I highly doubt the Feds would ever do that with more and more states making it legal. Besides, they have much more important issues to deal with. I don't use it, but one the primary reason I now support legalization is due to a conversation that I had with a lifetime ER nurse. In her entire career, she NEVER saw the violent injuries and death associated with pot as she did with alcohol. It just does not exist. Cigarette smoking does more harm to a person's health with the trend towards edibles. That conversation with the ER nurse and the medical benefits it allows are the reasons I would vote for legalization. Big pluses are the reduction in local enforcement costs and the sin taxes it would bring in.

Actually what you said are FALSE the (push towards edibles) are in fact causing problems with small kids who see candy/chocolate and eat it not knowing it is LACED with THC. It becomes an OD and they must be treated.

The FEDS are actually also pushing for confiscation of bank accounts for MANY businesses who deal with a lot of cash looking for these illegal in their eyes places. I have seen a lot of these IRS seizures being posted where small mom/pop cash crop farmers are loosing their bank accounts because it appears they are selling drugs (even non pot businesses.)

I think the jail times are BS for pot (not a smoker user at all never have) but perhaps we should make these pot heads do community service for violating federal law (until laws are changed) and when they are caught outside of legal states with it make them work off fines (give them a chance to clean up) and drug test them for a year or two all prior to just tossing them in jail.

Read up on the "fruits of the crime" legal meaning. The Feds could get it all, they are wide open to loosing everything. HS

I think this a much better thing for the Feds to be worrying about, don't you?

Yep. They do not accumulate assets like normal people. They are very well read in how to hang onto their hard earned assets.

Mark my word here. In a year or so we will be sending our Special Forces into harms way to rescue one or all three of the teenage girls that entered Syria this week. Where the He** are the parents??? Sorry for the distraction.
More likely they will be beyond rescue and our forces (special or not) will be there to kill those that have abused and killed them.
