Any dual Cat1/Cat2 quick attach hitches?

I think a lot of older tractors were designed to be used on either size. The Oliver mentioned is an example. On my 1984 Ford the 3pt arm end balls are interchangeable between CAT I and CAT II. Doesn't even require tools. Sorry, don't have pic.

To get back on track. The adjustable QH as pictured earlier had better be built pretty solidly, or it's going to fail. Or at a minimum be extremely floppy after some serious use.

I think the answer is 2 tractors. :D

The adjustable hitch is ok, but I'd just like to hook and go for either category :)

Don't most of the cat 1 quick hitches have cat 2 sized hooks and require bushings to fit properly anyway?

The SpeeCo I am looking at uses the same bushing diameter for their Cat1 as they do the Cat 2 - both the same diameter as a Cat 3 pin.

Right. There's lots of 2-3 hitches but no 1-2. With Cat 1 being its own set of dimensions, it makes no sense why they aren't made with Cat 1 hooks and not need bushings.

Here's my take on the bushing issue.

It's much easier to get hooked onto an attachment that has a size smaller pin than the QH being used. :)

My CAT II QH has CAT III hooks. My attachments are CAT II. I never use bushings.

The huge plus for a QH is when just wanting to hitch up to something for a few minutes. For example. I have a 3pt weight rack that I store my suitcase weights on. It weighs around 1500lbs. I often grab it and use it for awhile, then set it back down. I never get off and latch the QH.

I put a CAT II QH on my Kubota shortly after buying it. I've not removed it since.

On the other hand, I don't use a QH on my Ford. The tractor is light enough, and the attachments used are light enough, that I can hitch/unhitch will little effort, even without a QH or extendable 3pt arms. :)

No issues from me guys. :drink:

I went to buy the Speeco Cat1 yesterday and didn't. Not impressed with the quality at all. I am considering building one at this point, but not liking the task of cutting out the hooks as they'll need to be quite thick.

Make 2 or 3 layer laminated hooks.

I've struggled thru this pain too. I have a torch that will cut them. Just not sure I have the ability to cut them to meet my personal standards.

The laminated idea might work. Will be a LOT of grinding and finishing either way.
