Any good free online tutorials? Design software?

I don't want to be here, but I know I need to learn.

Initially I want to put in a couple of lines to pull a stump, like jake98 http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/attachments/189043-stump-speech.html

But then I'll want T-N-T and a front grapple.

I need to get smart on fixtures, differences in lines, etc. And is there any cheap design/drawing software so if I put up a sketch here others will understand and be able to comment?

Google Sketch-up 7 is free. I started with this but graduated to a more sophisticated cad program. Great place to learn the basics and you can do a lot. There are many instances where it is more fluid than cadware.
