"how much of a pain it will be to get this screen out and clean it,,etc...etc...,"

You are just not paying attention....you don't have to take it out, and it takes about 30 seconds to get off the tractor and brush it off.

Dude?,,,where ye be from,,the left coast? Seriously now,,,I can't be wrong,,cause I'm just stating a fact,,,,,,all tractors are not made the same in this regard,,,let me tell about mine,,,ok dude??,,,,on mine, there is a screen in a slot in front of raditiator,,thats the way they make them,,,the screen has much bigger holes than a screen in a screen door,,but it is pretty heavy duty,,,,now,,like I said,,I put a window screen over that,,it clogged up in less than an hr and tractor started over heating,,,,,took that crap out and just blow raditiator out every two-three hrs now when mowing, and have been doing it for three years now[I mow about 10 acres of grass with it and hog, about 5 times a year],no more over heating,,MY,,problem solved,,,,,,now on MY tractor,,,you have to shut tractor off,,raise hood,,,loosen air intake hose,[thats why you got to shut tractor off],,,pull that factory screen up,,[thats why you got to loosen air intake hose],,than clean off that screen door screen,,and in the conditions I cut in,,,you would need to do that about every 45 min or so,,,plus on top of that,,,you are hopeing the heat gage is accurate,,so's you will know when to stop and do this,,,plus,,you are not supposed to shut off a hot motor untill it cools to normal operating temp.......
Now on yanmars,,this maybe a much more simpler process??? don't know,,and on modern,18,000 tractors,,I'm sure it is,,,just relating my experiences,,,so you see dude,,I can't be wrong,,,,I'm up to bat again,,made it to first base for second time!! happy trails,,,the thing

I got my first tractor back in December as well. I have not seen in Yannies in our area yet. It is funny that the first one I have heard about is so close. I am sure there are some more of us out there. So far so good.

Next time I am out that way I will try to stop by and chat.

At least that's not disputable.. there's a start.

( on mine, there is a screen in a slot in front of raditiator,,thats the way they make them,,,the screen has much bigger holes than a screen in a screen door,,but it is pretty heavy duty )

As you stated.. that is how your tractor was made. We aren't refering to how your tractor was made.. but rather how a different tractor was made.

( so you see dude,,I can't be wrong,,,,I'm up to bat again,,made it to first base for second time!! )

With a statement like that.. I'm outta here.. you are showing a blatant disrespect /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif for some very nice people posting here... I'm bowing out now.. you can play the 'game' by yourself.

Sound man,,,I have no disrespect for any one,,unless they disrespect me first,,and certainly not towards you,,so if I offended you,,,well,,I didn't mean to.
I think if [anyones interested],if they go back and read the whole thread,,they will see that I was just letting the man know what can happen, not what will happen,if they put fine window screen in front of their raditiator,,and was baseing it on an experience of mine,,and actually another guy chimed in and said the same thing happened to him,,so,,
Nobody ever said[ before I said this anyways],that they really need to monitor there temp gage,,and probably stop and clean it out every 45 min. or so,,when brushoging, and cutting tall thick grass,,he needed to know that,,so now he does, and my little mission is complete,,,saying that I'm off base,,and wrong, will not change any of this,,,,and by the way,,,really like the way you quote me,, thingy

Strike three!!! Point is you need a prescreen.. And it is better to have a prescreen and keep it clean then to let your radiator get clogged. YOU'RE OUT!!!

Boy,,I guess you guys are taking your ball and going home? I can only hope,,,and by the way great,,,,you must not need one really bad,,cause I ain't used one in over 300 hrs,,and my raditiator is almost as clean as it was when it was new,,[maybe cleaner],,,thingy

Jinmas are notorious for having the radiator's clog. You can damage a radiator by blowing it out to hard to often. (or with a water hose.) Jinma prescreens are not generally adequate to stop the radiator from clogging.. I talked with a lady named Judy months ago about this same problem on her Jinma. (look up the old Thread under Chinese tractors over heating.) It is better to use an adequate prescreen and keep it clean rather than blow your radiator out often.. That is all there is to it. I did sound abraisive on my Dude your wrong post but you were saying it is better to blow your radiator out every 3 hrs then to use good prescreen and keep it clean and that "Dude"
was wrong.... Maybe u did use too fine of screen but if I were you I would find something in between an put it infront of my radiator and keep it clean......OK!!!
