any toro groundsmaster fans on here?

Does anyone here have experience with both the 345 gas and a diesel 325/328?

I'd like to know how they compare.

I expect the diesels to be more efficient... but the extra horsepower and lighter weight of the 345 are starting to appeal to me.

Hello... I'm new to this site but I have been reading through this thread and I'm hoping there may be some folks out there that can help. We bought a Toro Groundsmaster 325d last year to mow some of the lawns at our farm. It has been a great machine. That 72' deck was a real time saver. Long story short the differential (it is the two wheel drive model) blew up (cracked housing, gearing destroyed). I was able to find a replacement on Craigslist that should work. We have discovered that the piece just in front of the hydraulic pump (looks like it is called {67-9080} HOUSING-MOTOR) is cracked and leaking oil pretty badly. I'm hoping some of you guys can point me in the right direction as to where to search for parts and maybe able to tell me what models might have interchangeable parts for my machine as well as what this part is for sure... This is my first Groundsmaster so I am still getting to know it and so far I have loved it. I have been running Toro 8-32's for years and I love them...the first picture is pointing to the part in question...others are obvious...any help is appreciated as well as information about my machine...i think there is more info in the serial number than a bunch of numbers right?

Your model number is 30788 and your serial number shows yours is a 1998.

You may have already been here, but I will post it for future info seekers.

You have to designate a local dealer, but the parts are shipped from TORO.

Hi, I'm new here, but have had Toro groundsmasters for about 8 years, just bought a '93 325D 4wd and though it's nicer then my previous manual steering models, I'm not happy with it's turning radius! does anyone have any tips? I have adjusted the toe from one extreme to the next without much change. Thanks and hope I get some ideas!
