Figured out a few things yesterday, not sure if they are connected or not. I discovered on gravel with a fairly cool engine and drive train, that when the right brake is applied, it locked right up and did a perfect zero turn around that wheel. I was thrilled as this was progress, but found out later as it warmed up it didn't want to do it as easily. I've read in the manual that if you mow with the deck not floating that it can make the fluid get hot, and also can affect the power steering. I have the lever in float, but the arm doesn't go down, it isn't trying to lift, but it doesn't relax either. I made sure the valve was adjusted properly, but it still won't go down like my other groundsmasters. Also found in attempting to adjust the neutral position, the manual said to lift one wheel off the ground and notice which way the lift wheel was turning if at all and adjust accordingly. Well, the wheel on the ground kept turning even though the manual said it wouldn't, so either something is going on there, or the 4wd was engaged when it's suppose to be off. I didn't look at the time to see what was making the machine move since I was trying to keep it from falling off the jack! lol So to sum up, it will zero turn if I figure out how to make the right wheel stop when it's suppose to!
