Larger diameter rear tires and wider front tires and wheels where an option.

On a 4x4, wouldn't they have to increase the size of both front and back? Or did they adjust it with tire size or gear ratio?

The rear axle is engaged with an overrunning clutch, meaning if a front wheel slips the drive shaft turns faster than the clutch, engaging it.

I changed from the smaller to the larger on my 325D and couldn't tell any difference. It may take an extra revolution of the drive shaft to lock up, but 4WD got me through several near stuck places.

Ah-ha, thank you sir. Was thinking I may take my semi worn out larger rear tires off one of my 4wd units and put them on the rear of the 2wd and get new 18 tires for the 4wd on the old 2wd rims as I need all the traction I can get.

Not that I know of. You can go to the Master Parts Viewer ( Toro Master PartsViewer ), but you need the 5 digit model number, not the series number.

The 345 has a gas engine, don't think there is a diesel version.
I was just throwing numbers out as examples, and yeah I've used the parts viewer, was just hoping someone had thrown a list of what all toro made in the groundmaster series. thanks Xfaxman

Forgot I had a junk seat with armrests on it. This is the style I am looking for though, still need one more set if anyone knows of a supplier. I plan to replace this seat and I’m pretty sure these armrests will just swap over to the new seat.

Xfaxman,
I’m noticing while mowing with the sd deck when I crest a hill and start going down the backside the mower deck will drop pretty far down. I’m afraid one of these times the pto shaft will pop out and go flailing around. How far should the deck be allowed to drop when cresting a hill? I shortened the chains a link or two, but I think they may need more. Thanks again for the help.

If you have the correct driveshaft for the side discharge deck it can't come out.

I set the front chains for max lift, 11 links, like the operators manual shows.

If you have a set of car ramps, you can back up on them and lower the deck to verify the drive shaft won't pop out.

I use them to access the underside of the deck:

I feel pretty silly. I couldn't figure out how to get the toro up on ramps with the deck on. Looks like it would work pretty good for cleaning.

Figured it out. I need shorter ramps. My ramps are too long to fit between the wheels

I am looking for the schematic to add lights to the 223D,.

There is a place for a light switch in the panel. I have yet to find a schematic that shows where to tap in for lights.

I would think since there is a labeled hole to install the switch in the panel that it should be a matter of finding the right spot and plugging in a wire to feed the lights.

Any ideas?

Thanks
