I added a cement cylinder to ride on my box blade as my weight box. My 3720 needs 1200# for safe operation with the 300CX loader. Too hard to find or make that big a box. My Frontier box is just over 500, and I filled a 12" Sonotube with rebar and concrete for an additional 400+ lbs. it has chains connected to the center rod that keep it on the BB. With the moment sitting on the back of the BB, I think I have enough counter weight. Seems to be working, will update in a few months.

Sounds like it would help with the back blade too. Could you post some pics?

I fabbed this one up to be compact and adjustable. The frame weighs 150lbs and each piece of rr track weighs 100lbs for a total of 650lbs. I have 5 more pieces of track or 500lbs if needed. The 650lbs has worked out perfect so far for my B2650.

i LIKE THAT iDEA.I have been thinking how to make something like that for my snow blower. I could take it off when Im using the blower and then have it back on when I need the traction weight

I didn't build this one but modified a JD box I found on CL, I started by adding RR rail runners & a 2" receiver tube that is bolted to the box. 1071.JPG Then, an old galvanized grainery door for a tray over the scrap iron & lead weight inside, with two plastic conduit tool holders. 1079.JPG A chainsaw sleeve made from 1/4" sheet plastic is on the other side. HPIM1260 - Copy.JPG Threaded lower 3-pt pins were added for more clearance when loading the tractor on a trailer & some small "D" rings for tie-downs.
