Anyone else holding out for new 2013 Chevy/GMC truck?

I have been thinking about trying a Dodge for my next truck. I have been a GM owner for lots of years but if the new style looks anything like that picture it will finalize my decision for sure.

My 94 dodge cummins never passes by an open dodge dealership.. or so it seams.

I think i should by my own tow truck so i could save some $$$

I'm really excited about the new line of GM trucks to be built this following year. Alot of speculations and rumors floating around. I'm looking foward to seeing the production models rolling off the assembly line. 2013 Chevy Silverado

I think I may have actualy flinched when my eyes hit that picture.

I was stuck in MO for a month a few summers ago, and got to know some of the Dodge Truck plant workers.

I have never met so many pissed off workers in my life.

They told me some stories you wouldnt beleive if I did tell you what they were

Dodge has come a long way but i am still hesitant. If they lose the cummins, i may never own one. Most of the hd trucks around here are cummins followed close by dmax.

My '01 runs great. Has held up great. No rust.

My previous experience with Chevy was a used '76 1/2 ton. It was a high mileage ranch truck.. My Dad and I put a lot of miles on it. 350 with a granny box, 4x4. I thought the 350 was under powered and a gas hog; never saw why people think it was a great motor. The 351 in my F250 got better mileage, and had more power, even at 225k miles.

When the day comes that I do replace my truck(original goal was 10 years or 300k miles) I'll definitely look at all that is on the market, even though I tend towards Dodge Cummins or Ford.

I'll just keep my truck if the new ones look like that concept; I'd tear it up out hunting. Plastic bumper here, plastic bumper there...

OMG, I agree with some of the others, One UGLY truck and I am GM guy, Ive said for years GM is always behind in the looks dept in their trucks!

I don't think anyone had a good motor in 1976. My dad bought a GMC 4x4 new in '76...By 1980, we put a 1970 350 out of a Corvette in it..That took care of the problem.

The original 350 ran fine, just didn't have any power due to new gov't regs, there weren't any emissions on it so we had options

Oh well, like I said I am just in thinking mode right now. Unless something unexpected happens I wont be replacing my truck for another 3 years. Some good GM news (at least for me) is I just replaced my front brakes on my 03 GMC Sierra today. Got 122K out of the original set. The back ones actually wore out first at 105k.

That's still an ugly truck even if is a concept...yuuuk...cant get it out of my head. I think it was in 2001 I got to go to an international car show when I was in Toronto. Dodge had a concept Power Wagon truck on display. I still want that truck to this day. It was awesome.
