Anyone have a LED dusk to dawn pole light?

I don't want or keep outside lights on, but do have motion lights. I've been converting to led, love the led flood lights. Much brighter than the old floods, and using less power.
I have a case of 100w incandescent bulbs if anyone needs any.....

Wonder if those will one day be collectable like old jars and jugs

I'm saving both money and energy because I don't mind the darkness. If I want to see something badly enough, I'll go point a flashlight at it. :D
I bet you were happy to put a sweater on when you were told to in the 70s. Actually I keep my house at 64 during the day and 58 at night. No sweaters though.

I am not into the idea we have to go without in America.

Ref As long as people continue to buy, it will only get better. Each of us will join in as the costs become worth it on our own budgets.
Agree, but they may not be a magic light for every application. What happened to CFLs? We were told how great those were. Also see small halogens that look like incandescent. Not sure pros and cons. But there are other type of lights out there.

It's one of the things I like about the place in Washington... it can be pitch dark if overcast... always get a good night sleep and naturally get up early...

I do have one dawn to dusk GU24 bulb at the garage peak out front... just enough to see...

Never a fan of bright outdoor lighting for most things...

I am mixed on this. At my camp, set up like a house, I enjoy the stars. My house I like the utility aspect of dusk to dawn. I am running in at out all the time.

Both places are out of town and no light. What I don't like about motion sensors is they don't have a good bypass. If you want to turn the light on to see if bear is in the front yard, I have to go out on steps and wave my hands.

I am set up my compound at camp with various types. I won't go dusk to dawn, but will have big lights I can turn on, plus various motion activated lights.

We had conflicting opinions earlier, but I do think thieves like the dark. I would need alot of motion sensor lights around the yard to get the light out of my barn light. Maybe if I owned a trencher.

Plus motion activated lights will have a shorter life.

I wouldn't want shining in windows, but I like my parking areas light. Doesn't shine in the house at all.

Still do, but nobody ever had to tell me when I felt chilly and needed one.

Actually I keep my house at 64 during the day and 58 at night. No sweaters though.

Little cooler than I keep my place.

I question what it is you mean by "go without". I'm going to guess you mean light since that's the discussion. Yea, people shouldn't have to go without light in America. But they shouldn't have to go without darkness either. Darkness has a peace much like silence.

But overall, I don't think we should have to go without anything in America, most of all choice. Which is why I say let folk decide what is best for their uses and provide the most amount of choices possible. Options are freedom.

Same, I like my darkness and star gazing. I've actually been installing the motion activated LED floods with attached solar panel and internal battery. I've had really good luck with a few brands, couple others not so much.

Bm.
The thread is about selecting a light, not poetry.
Same, I like my darkness and star gazing. h.

I do too. But I am not carrying a flashlight around my yard.

I wish I had some darkness out here. I live close enough to Branson there isn't as much darkness as I would like , especially on cloudy nights with the light from the city bouncing back down from the clouds..
