Let me put it another way...

If your stump grinder isn't already at their freight forwarder on shore and is coming from China. it will fall under the now imposed 200% tariff imposed on ALL goods coming from China and the administration just imposed an additional tariff on all the Chinese unloading cranes used to unload the ships. Don't believe me, wander over to G Captain on the net and read it for yourself.

Me thinks you are screwed but on the slim chance you aren't please let everyone know as we are all curious.
I used it today. Just like a bunch of other people that bought them. That proves you have no idea what you are talking about.

You obviously don't follow politics and / or you are ignorant of the ongoing trade negotiations berween China and the US which determines what and if tour Chinese grinder gets delivered or the price increases. DJT relaxed the tarriffs for a set period, consequently, you got it, Has nothing to do with me and everything to do with world events. I do know what I'm talking about, I follow world economics. The one I bought 2 years ago I paid substantntiall less than you paid... Hint, that's called inflation bub.

It really does work great for the price and it’s a good attachment to have. We had a oak that was close to 40" that we removed with it the other evening. It was not a big deal and really did not take very long.

I also noticed the price is back down if anyone is looking for one. I guess those "200% tariffs" didn't really cause any problems.... 🙄

I know plenty. Congratulations on buying one years ago. We all know since it's yours it's the best. You are a complete tool

Never said it was the 'best'. You stated that, not me. I would have preferred buying a dedicated, self powered stump grinder like a Raco or a Vermeer but my use situation don't predicate one. For my use scenario, a 3 point mount swing grinder fill my needs just fine. When I purchased mine a couple years ago, I looked at all of them pretty hard and theirs had the features I wanted at a price that was excellent. I knew going in that it was a copy of an Erskine (actually an exact copy, the Chinese are good at copying products) and offering them at less than the domestically built ones they copy because their built in costs (labor and materials costs) are substantially less.

Your scenario may be different and I'd rather be a tool than a brainless dork like you that posts inane comments...

Have yourself a blessed day.

LIke the rigid mount Mechamaxx stump grinder that Woodland Mills offers. Exact copy with a different paint job for sunstantially less that the Woodmax one.

What anyone purchases is their personal choice. In my case I would have preferred an Erskine or a Land Pride but I weighed the cost versus the use time and bought the Chinsese copy. I will say that the LP as well as the Erskine replacement parts fit fine and the Greenteeth carbide cutters also fit as well. Getting ready to replace all the cutters with Greenteeth cutters that are produced right here in SE lower Michigan, USA.

I'd consider one of MechMaxx's stump grinders with the hydraulic swing - their model TSG61. The swing feature seems to be a lot more convenient to use and the greater grinding depth (down to 12" below ground level). I do have the rear hydraulic remotes to drive the swing feature. However, the recommended Tractor HP range for that model is 35-60. My tractor is 33 HP (27 at the PTO). I'm guessing probably not enough to comfortably run this attachment. I think I might be OK on the total weight of the tractor being enough to not get shoved around by the grinder. Bare tractor weight is about 2500#, but with filled rear tires, loader, and modifications (belly pan and limb risers), I'm up over 4000#. I'm curious if anyone has experience running this model on a smaller tractor

The less expensive fixed mount grinders might be a better option. I do have a hydrostatic transmission, which should help with running the fixed mount grinder. However, the stabilizers for my lower 3 Pt hitch arms are adjustable by dropping a pin in various holes. They don't really tighten up like screw adjustable stabilizers do, so there might be more slop in that mount than is ideal. How important is removing all that side play for those that have used the fixed mount grinder?
