Anyone have a Roadrunner grader?

Thinking about buying a Roadrunner grader, has anyone heard of this brand of grader, it is very similar to the Duragrader. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Fuelburner, did you ever demo/purchase a Roadrunner grader? I'm currently interested in one. I got their free dvd and brochure and it looks very solid and well built. Appears to do a very good job at leveling/grading. A little pricey but if it really does the trick and holds up I think I could make it pay for itself. Thanks for any info you can lend.

The price with manual screw type blade adjustment is 2,550.00. With hydraulic is 2800 and change. Is that about right for this type of grader?

At 1,350 to 1,570 lbs!!! Those are pretty heavy duty... Do you need one that big? There are "smaller" ones, Land Pride Grading Scrapers

I have about 600 ft of driveway that needs to be maintained. I like the option of being able to crown the road with the movable cutting edges.

I have a Kubota L 48, that should be able to handle it quite well.

While I am a fan of these landplane/graders this unit seems to be overkill for a 600 ft driveway. I would hope you have other uses for it too. The $2800 for the hydraulic models seems in line with other implement prices. The longer skids(6') are a good thing, helps it run smooth.

Here is one I built with two double edged bolt on grader blades, about 950 lbs and cost about $850 for all materials. Mine has straight blades because I use mine to plane and smooth lawn seedbeds more than anything else.

archeryantny, while the Roadrunner is a good implement, it is sort of over kill for a 600' driveway just as jenkinsph has mentioned. There are several manufacturers of simpler ones that are less money. If I were you I would look at a 7 footer and get one that has sides that are between 18" & 24" tall. Something that weighs around 1000lbs or more. With the twin blades being angled, the dirt tends to move to the side a little, but not a lot.

I maintain over 2 miles of road and have 4 different implements that I use on them. While each one excels at what it was intended for, if I was only going to have one implement to maintain our roads, it would be a road grader type blade. :thumbsup: You might check out one of these. ditto that. $2,800 is alot for 600-feet of driveway. Howse makes various widths and I looked at them at one of the local dealers and he sells the 7-ft width model for $795.

Howse is a lighter weight unit but that can be easily fixed by adding 300 lbs of weight.

You can still crown the road without adjustable blades. Just adjust the 3ph so that one side is longer then the other side.

The photos of the box blade is extreme but you get the point.
